"Infuriating!"
Attempted to create an online account for almost 3 months now to no avail. They take the money monthly and without fail I receive an email saying that they will be cancelling my insurance shortly as I have failed to take action - one being received 2 days after I had their maintenance team out to look at the box.
I phone probably 3 times a week (between 9 and 5) which is never answered as the office is closed and despite numerous emails, messages, a letter at one point and filling out their contact form on their website - I have heard nothing except my cancellation email.
The last time they came out to look at the box my appointment was between 9am and 1pm - he arrived at 12.58pm and took nearly an hour - the engineer informed me that he is contracted and this is standard practice for them to over book and under deliver. He also informed me I had been given a faulty box that hadn't been collecting any data on my driving for the first 10 weeks I had it - the engineer gave me another box but even he couldn't get through to speak to the team for much of his time with me - as the offices were, you guessed it, closed!

"Un-necessarily charged £30"
Yesterday, I changed my address (door number only, no postcode) and they charged un-necessarily. Which is merely charing the value in the TEXT BOX and push UPDATE button.
Background:
I recently changed my address (just next door) and I've changed around ~25 addresses, nobody charged money for that but the COVER BOX charged £30 - which is absolutely bad for the OLD customer like me.
Shame on u !!!
You should not make money like this - rather do some extra hard work.

"Waist of time"
0 if I could. They cancelled my insurance because I did my insurance quickly online and I didn't realise you had to put down an accident if it was not your fault and you didn't even claim. I was told because I had a one year no claim my insurance will go down but instead they cancelled it. Waist of time! I am not to clued up on insurance and things but every other one I've been with have tried helping and supporting me. These just chucked me away no help at all!! The lady on the phone was not even apologetic and didn't even care.i now have a black box in my car somewhere that is not needed! I work in a hospital so I need my insurance due to hours! Would not recommend

This company is really bad for car insurance. I have to pay by monthly installments but what they didn't say was that they take the money 3 working days before the actual date of payment which is a joke. They will rip you off even with the black box they install. Will never go with them again

Be very very cautious using this insurance, my daughter paid a one off annual payment including extra to have the box fitted to her car, a month later she received a letter to inform her that her insurance had been cancelled. This was a complete mystery to her. My daughter is a nurse, she had 3 7am-7pm shifts to work and knew she’d have no time to make long phone calls so I was asked to enquire. I spent hours on the phone and was finally told that the policy had been cancelled as my daughter hadn’t shown her driving license when the box was fitted and that this was essential to continue cover. My daughter categorically remembers signing an electronic form however this was denied.
Cover box said they’d sent a letter explaining the situation, it was never received, they said they attempted to talk to my daughter on the phone but she hadn’t answered. She has since looked at her phone record, they had phoned on a weekend and another occasion when she was sleeping following a night shift.They claimed to have sent e mails, none were received to our knowledge. Strangely they had successfully sent her two txt messages when they needed to arrange fitting the box yet they didn’t txt her when they cancelled her contract after 1 month. She has been given a £250 refund from a £790 policy that lasted one month.
She was offered a renewal policy of over £1000.
We have renewed with a more reputable company at a cheaper price and will be in touch with the Financial Ombudsman.

Was insured for 3 months and got a note syaing they were cancellkng due to speeding. Never received any formal notice from no one but themselves.
When I called found out why - to take the deposit money.

Very Disappointed...
Received a quote yesterday at 7.49 pm. tried to buy car insurance this morning and when got to payment page they changed their price. Called their customer care and they said price can be changed anytime. very disappointing the they give you a quote and you can't even rely for at least 24 hrs. bought the insurance eventually with them since i have not patience left to go to comparison websites and fill all those forms again. Surely not reliable and definitely not buying again.

"Coverbox is A Real Nightmare, the worst insurance company ever, even worse than Hasting Direct!"
I honestly don't know how this company justifies its pretence to be a good insurance company; all they are concerned with is finding excuses and taking the money. I have paid the annually price of £670 for the policy. Although they were able to check my annual driving mileage online on the MOT-Check-Page, they sent an expert out to install a Mileage-Tracking-Device because they didn't believe that I only drive about 3000 Mile in year (I drove only 2500 Mile in 2015!). Then, their [Expert] went back to their company and stated that “the wheels are not genuine.” The expert did not recognise the genuine Alloy-Wheels that were originally fitted from the VW-Bora manufacturer. Then, I was changing address during that time and have told them appropriately about the change, in the meantime they send a letter to the old address and made me responsible for their mistake. Furthermore, they sent me a letter that being received on Friday telling me that they need my written-response on Monday (over weekend!), they built their own causation with their fraudulent-logic and refused to insure my car (without any justified reason). Then, the biggest part: they charged me for all costs including the mileage-tracking-device and their expert-trip. After calling them a few times and discussing for hours, they paid about £200 refund.
Please save yourself the hassle and never use Coverbox. You will tragically regret it if you do!
It might be also mention-worthy to conclude, I have insured my car again with a very diligent company at a better deal and a cheaper price. However, go to them if you wanted the worst experience for the Guinness World Records.
