"Absolutely terrible company"
Absolutely terrible company, taking a loan out with them was my biggest mistake.
When I took out my initial loan, they didn't perform any thorough checks. If they did they would have seen payment plans and rollover credit and seen I wasn't responsible with money. But they approved my loan and 3 months later offered a top up, which I stupidly accepted. No further checks were done.
Part way through my loan term, my income changed due to having a baby, a couple of months later, my partner (also my guarantor) was in a life changing accident (he was self employed at the time) and therefore our entire income was SMP and UC. Amigo showed no condolences and no support and still expected me to support my family and make full payment.
I made a written complaint in July 2020 and it has yet to be resolved. Despite on many occasions being told it was 'nearly done' several times before the Scheme was proposed, clearly they were just stalling.
On settling my loan this week, they sent a letter asking for a TrustPilot review and "We hope you'll consider using us again in the future."
Avoid like the plague. Amigo may seem like a good idea, but they really are not.

"Amigo scheme! More like scam"
What I want to know is how on earth they claim so many people have voted for the scheme yet only 3 thousand people have opposed it. That's absolutely ridiculous. If you see the number of complaints with the financial ombudsmen and your telling me none of those people opposed the scheme.. sure!
You did your credit checks?!
My mother was on benefits and they accepted her as a guarantor.
I did not have a stable job at the time.. it was thanks to the loan I had to move far up north to afford rent otherwise I'd be living in a cardboard box.
I managed to just about pay back the 10k I borrowed and then my mother suffered a stroke and I had to quit my career to move back home and help. I complained way before the corona crisis and my complaint was dragged on to the point where it is now in limbo and the FCA have decided to take a step back.
If companies like amigo can get away with leeching on individuals, and yet expect a bonus for 5 executives for millions. That is absolute bull and in my opinion rigged.
I messaged amigo begging them to release me from this debt.. I sent them letters to prove my mothers stroke and disability along with myself now being on carers allowance, and that I wish for the interest to be wiped atleast as a Good Will gesture.
But no. Amigo is still adamant I owe them 15k and it goes up every month.
How can amigo be trusted to decide on complaints when 88 percent of the complaints rejected by amigo were infact upheld by the FCA.
Amigo cannot be trusted to deal with things justly and fairly. They haven't in the past and they certainly are not now.
I'm asking you again amigo.. infront of everyone. I have pretty much paid what I borrowed. Please understand my mother is a paralyzed stroke patient.. she is no longer fit to be my guarantor. I have been through hell and back and I am still struggling. Please remove all interest.. and allow me to pay only what I borrowed.
That's all I am asking for. I don't even want compensation!

"They've already made their money. VOTE NO."
I initially voted "yes" without really thinking about the implications of the scheme, I've gone back on it. I was a guarantor and should absolutely not have put myself up as one! They actively encouraged the loanee to get more top ups. My prerogative is to make sure I get myself off the loan, don't care about the redress, if that means they go down, so be it.

"Amigo"
Amigo had really helped out when my mum needed the money for new car for her work, and other things that need to be pay of but the interest is slightly higher.
Amigo was also really helpful though out the pandemic gave me and my mum time to pay back small amount then the usual amount every month but lucky we only had 3 payment left till it was all paid back.
I would recommend amigo to family and friends but only if you really need to. Wish the interest would be lower, we had borrowed £10000.

"I started my complaints process long…"
I started my complaints process long before December 2020 cut off date, yet they have also placed me in the redress scheme.
I had complained well before the scheme was established, with little to no communication.
after further research and other reviews, i can see i have been placed into the scheme to 'save them money' when in actual fact, my redress should have been dealt with separately as my case was started long before this scheme was introduced.
Amigo, please reply to me, so that this can be resolved. as it is unfair i started my claim months before your redress scheme was announced, yet, you have still put me into it when it should have been resolved well before.

"The most immoral company out there"
The most immoral company out there, their model is based for desperate people. Once you’re with them you are stuck they offer no real help and back you into a corner even if temporarily financially stuck!
Major regret being so silly to get involved with this company, COVID-19 has highlighted the good companies out there who would not actually like you to struggle monthly and arrange affordable payments!
I WILL BE VOTING NO, hopefully this will stop companies like this even being formed.

"You have to be totally braindead to vote YES"
If you are still paying off your loan, you would have to be a total mug to vote 'yes' - even if they decided to compensate you, the amount would be miniscule, furthermore, if they go in to administration, all debts would be handled by administrators and you would only pay what you owe, without the ludicrous amount of interest being added daily, you would probably also be able to have your monthly affordability reassessed and make payments that are more affordable, which this scum, would never allow, even if it had you thrown on the streets. You would also have the satisfaction of these low lives who will happily threaten and harrass your elderly relatives until they are ill, being on the dole where they belong.
A 'yes' vote would show that you have learnt no lessons since taking out a loan with these people in the first place. Let them rot.
