I'd say it's a set-up scenario, that it's fake. Both from the style of the video, and from what the detector looks like. From what I learned in my electronic engineering degree, it makes sense that metal detectors have a thin disc that needs to be kept close to the ground. This company's “Gold Vision” detector looks like something out of a 60s movie, and its just hilarious when it spins around, and ends up pointing at the buried treasure.
