Ordered a 6 burner stove, paid extra for delivery as I needed it quickly. Placing the order and paying was simple enough but no confirmation of delivery was provided.
I placed the order on Wednesday and paid for guaranteed delivery for Friday. Had to make a few phone calls on Fri morn to chase delivery and was told it would be between 2 and 4. I called at 4.30 because it still hadn't arrived and my contractor was about to leave but found an automated service directing me to email customer services because Ascot closes at 3.30. How is that helpful? I am still waiting for a response a week after sending the email as directed. It finally arrived at 4.50 and was delivered by a grumpy unhelpful and very rude individual.
I appreciate traffic issues etc which impact on delivery times but Ascot were very reassuring when I made the enquiry about next day delivery and promised an early delivery guaranteed to arrive on Friday. It did arrive on Friday but I had no was of knowing when because they have no system in place to do this. A call by the driver with an ETA would have been very useful.
I would never have used Ascot if I had known this. They are keen to take your money but need to invest in a better delivery system.it has cost me substantially more with payment for delivery and additional contractor hours because he had to come back to finish the work held back by the late delivery. Topped of with a lack of acknowledgement of my email.
Very bad customer service and I would suggest you avoid and spend your money elsewhere.
