"The mat broke after 3 days of use!"

The mat broke after 3 days of use in my Home Office. Large cracks appeared all over the surface area rendering the product a health hazard due to the sharpness of the edges on those cracks.

Reading through the reviews here I expected the worst but surprisingly Floor Mats UK issued a full refund in less than 24 hours so 5 stars for that but 1 star for selling a shoddy product to begin with (and seemingly manipulating reviews on their own website about the product).

"BEWARE"

Beware - the Mat I ordered was absolutely not what I expected being extremely rigid and not pleasant for home use. Floor Mats UK advertises an address in UK on its website but asks you to return purchases to Germany - in the middle of Coronavirus crisis - which is nigh on impossible unless you want to spend more than value of mat. They refused to exchange, collect or cancel the contract in line with the terms of the consumer code for online shopping. An appalling shopping experience.

"Floor mat cracked into dangerous pieces after 5 months."

I bought the following item from floor mats co uk:
chair-mat-carpet-pro
for £41 + vat which came to £53.94 including delivery insurance on 24th October 2019.

It is now 29.99 + vat.

I bought a thick one so it would be strong and durable, and five months it was, and then crack! And within a week the whole thing is falling apart with multiple cracks and sharp pieces falling out.

I contacted customer services, requesting a replacement and they said:

"Unfortunately our return and replacement period for this particular item is 30 days. As your order has surpassed the return period time frame, we are unfortunately unable to offer you a return on this occasion."

So basically it only works for five months before shattering into pieces, it may drop to half the price you paid for it, and good luck after 30 days because this company won't offer any replacement or refund.

Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere.

I posted this review on their site and it said it has been submitted for moderation, so expect all bad reviews to be brushed under the rug there.

"Amended review of Floormats UK…from 1 star to 3 stars"

So my initial review of Floormats UK (I.E. Dayton Home & Office Gmbh) was very negative due to having experienced extremely bad customer service. I've had to write a new review as my internet security would not allow me to amend the original.
So, in January I purchased a "high quality polycarbonate" floormat to go on top of a carpet in my home office. Everything was fine until yesterday (March) when I discovered the floormat had cracked quite badly.
Contacted floormats.uk whose initial response was the 30 days return period was up so...tough. When I said no, I have Statutory Rights and mentioned the Consumer Rights Act 2015 they offered (via email) a 20% discount to the initial cost of £45.00, which I declined. I then wrote my original negative Trustpilot review. Further emails followed with photos of the badly cracked mat and they offered a 30% discount. I said no, they must either replace the item or offer a full refund. I insisted that if they did not sort out the problem, I would contact Trading Standards and report them for using deception by advertising a product which was not as described ("high quality polycarbonate").
Next thing I know is they have agreed to make a full repayment for the floormat - haven't received it yet, but have all the emails so expect it will be repaid soon.
Actually I checked Floormats.uk reviews on Trustpilot before making the original purchase and because most of the reviews were positive I decided to go ahead with my purchase. But after having the bad experience, I note from the negative reviews that many other people who ordered this expensive polycarbonate floormat and discovered it had cracked had also been offered the same 20%, 30% discount. So it appears to be their policy to do their best to fob you off (same many other online retailers).
My advice to anyone thinking of buying a polycarbonate floormat is only do so if it's to go on top of carpet tiles with no underlay as the mat is thin, does flex when weight is applied and despite what the website say, it is not high quality.

"Absolutely hopeless !"

Absolutely hopeless !
I ordered a mat. It didn’t turn up. Got an email from Floor Mats UK saying delivery was attempted but had gone back to the Parcel Force Depot. No card through the door which was suspicious. Then I tracked the package it had been “inadequately addresses”. After several emails I’m told I can have a refund. I don’t want a refund I need my mat !!!
No idea of customer service.

"AVOID"

I strongly suggest that anyone look elsewhere for their mats. I placed my order for a simple little doormat, I received no confirmation of order and finally three weeks later the mat turned up. However the dimensions were completely different to those that were advertised so it was quite unsuitable. After several emails and attempts to contact the company I finally received a reply requesting that I return it at my expense to an address in Germany advising that I write the order number on the label for identification. I requested that they send me a prepaid label as I didn’t feel that I should bear the cost of the return postage seeing as the item had been described inaccurately in the first place. They were most unhelpful, their response being that I did not need a label. I took it to the post office to substantiate this and of course confirmed that the return of the item to Germany would cost £14. Thankfully PayPal resolved this issue on my behalf.

"Definitely do not use this company"

Definitely do not use this company, they sell equipment not fit for purpose with extremely poor after sales. I bought a floor mat for my home office that has started to crack & disintigrate after very little use despite their web site page stating the mat was crack resistant.
Unfortunately Trustpilot do not provide a review less than bad, otherwise I would have used it.

"Absolute rubbish mat!! Do not buy from this rubbish company."

Do not buy from this company! The anti trip anti slip runner mat, slips all over the place. Its absolute rubbish and so lightweight that it wont even lay flat on the floor.
Customer service also rubbish, repeatedly asking me to send photos - whats that going to do! They claim i have to correct rug, but maybe slipping due to the surface its on. Surley anti trip anti slip should mean exactly that. I'm fuming!!!

"Avoid"

Ordered 2 pro floor mats for carpet.
Not as fast delivery as promised but ...

They seemed great and stayed in place but less than 3 months later one started cracking and has now fallen apart. 2nd started cracking this week.

Customer services said beyond 30 days so no refund.

Avoid like the plague.
