"AVOID this company at all costs"
AVOID this company at all costs. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary with all guns blazing. They are a Mickey Mouse company run by a one-man band - Mark Hopewell, (the previous directors have resigned.) who does not care about the customer. They are incompetent. They will take all the money upfront before any installation. Then the ball is in their court. They left us high and dry. Blamed me for not having the premisses adequately prepared for installation. They dumped the lift components onto my driveway and refused to install them. The actual survey was carried out only after full payment, and then it was deemed not ready for installation. they had 6 months before the lift was ready to do the proper survey (which they stated would be 6 weeks). The salesman did a few surveys (who then left the company) and deemed it ready for installation- when full payment was demanded. Every excuse was made not to install, such as health and safety, structural engineer report (which was rejected), etc. They told me to find another installer and refunded a fraction of the actual installation cost. I had to pay £2,300 just to have the crates unpacked and bring the components in to protect against the weather. The lift components are still sitting all around the house. I still have not found an installer as they all seem to work for lift companies and not directly to the public. We are elderly and cannot take the way we have been treated any longer it's been two years with no lift being installed or resolved.

"Review of Stilz Lift and Installation…"
Review of Stilz Lift and Installation 2-Storey Home
Keen to stay in our home for as long as possible, we recently had a Stiltz Lift installed in our home rather than a stairlift. This makes access between floors so easy but does take up floor space. Supply and installation was carried out by Morgan Ellis Ltd of Southend on Sea. The lift components were delivered to allow installation to begin on 9th October 2023.
A team of 2 contractors arrived on 9th to carry out the installation beginning at 8.30 am. They finished working at 6pm, returning to complete the installation the following day in 4 hours. We were very disappointed over the installation and Morgan Ellis had the team return on 25th to rectify the shortcomings which took 4 hours. The following is an example of their work. A long piece of metal needed trimming along its length to allow the finishing trim to fit flush to the ceiling. This was done using a hand-held angle grinder with metal sparks flying widely, including across our bed and without any safety measures being used. We would not allow the leader of that team inside our house again. We advised Morgan Ellis accordingly.
Our contact with Morgan Ellis has been excellent. The quality of the installation is determined by the contractors they employ, in this case awful
The lift is such a boon to allow easy access between floors – a very worthwhile expenditure. Expect to pay £16,000 and up.

"A nightmare experience"
A nightmare experience. After 7 weeks our lift was still not operational. My husband is disabled and we were unable to return to our home. Morgan Ellis constantly blamed the manufacturer and did nothing and took no responsibility. Eventually I, and NOT Morgan Ellis, went directly to the manufacturer myself to ask for help. They sent out a senior engineer who got it working in a day. And beware, Morgan Ellis take all your money upfront.
