"So my first question to their support…"
So my first question to their support was about the difference between two vps products, they say that they are pretty much the same.
I go with the cheaper and experience upload/download time of around 300KB/s (instead of 10MB/s) ...
They blame my ISP, fan fact is that I get 300KB/s from/to other servers in Italy and France (Tier 1 datacenters) ...
I insist and they suggest to change the vps product.
So I move my code, services and dns records
and the new vps product does 10MB/s. (what a surprise)
After a couple of months I can't reach the vps anymore.
I open a 'critical' priority ticket and they take their sweet time to answer (more than 24 hours).
They say that the public IP of the vps has problems and are unable to estimate how long will take to fix, because it doesn't depend on them.
(this DC doens't even own the public IP addresses of their servers)
They suggest to use a secondary IP address, so I update again the dns records and wait for the propagation.
The entire downtime was more than 24 hours.
I moved my website far away from these snotty buffoons.
