I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Barankaraoglu, which I feel compelled to share. As someone who takes my dental health seriously, I sought out expert advice on dental implants and crowns, as I required around 6 implants and approximately 28 crowns. However, I had little prior knowledge about the specifics of these treatments, so I relied on professionals to guide me through the process.

After consulting with my own dentist in Scotland, I was advised to ask Dr. Barankaraoglu about different implant options and their pricing. Specifically, I inquired about the following implants: Medentika, Straumann BLT, and Straumann Roxolid or BLX. I simply wanted to understand which would be best suited for my needs and what the cost would be.

Dr. Barankaraoglu mentioned using MEDIGMA, a German brand, but when I brought up recommendations I had received for BEGO Implant Systems, his response was dismissive and lacked the professionalism I expected. Instead of engaging in a constructive discussion, he reacted with frustration and anger, which is utterly unacceptable for someone in his position. This kind of behavior is especially concerning when dealing with a patient who is trying to make an informed decision about significant dental work.

Furthermore, his professionalism continued to be questionable when it came to pricing. The initial cost he quoted me fluctuated drastically from €7,000 down to €5,000 without any official documentation or explanation. Such inconsistent pricing raises serious doubts about transparency and the integrity of his services.

It's deeply troubling to encounter a healthcare professional who not only lacks the patience and professionalism needed to handle patient inquiries but also shows a concerning level of inconsistency in pricing. This kind of unprofessional conduct only damages trust and erodes confidence in the care being provided. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Barankaraoglu has left me feeling wary, particularly in a country where healthcare scams are not unheard of.

There are thousands of dental practices to choose from, so I strongly advise doing your homework. Ask all the questions you need, even if it frustrates the dentist. Avoid agents who take 40% to 50% of the cut—it's just a big scam. While there are indeed good dentists out there, you have to find the right one. Take your time and don't rush into things.

I would also advise potential patients to be firm and cautious when discussing pricing and to seek out a dentist who offers transparent and consistent information. It's crucial to find a provider who respects your concerns, answers your questions patiently, and treats you with the professionalism and care you deserve.
