"Why customer service seems non-existent | Postive experience"
I've bought the Ryuko Matoi statue around end of may and recieved it mid august. The package was well packed, the figure is great and i'm overall happy (i do live in the netherlands so shipping was fast for me).
Assuming you the reader are checking reviews because you may or may not have bought something and have some troubles with customer service. I've had this too and I have gotten the reason why this is happening. (translated from a employee)
There's a big shortage in employees for the customerservice department. The logistics is external so while customer service might be in less then ideal conditions, your order will most likely be fine and you have to be patience with customer services (do ask for an update once a week).
As a dutch citizen it's very much true that we have shortages with employee's in almost every sector, i was worried about my order as the date was changed once or twice, but this is because of logistics/popup parade. I saw the same on other shops aswell.
While the socials of Otakusquare are quite dead for some reason (and they should definitly pick this up again). Otaku square was for my order and with the explantion given (And what i could find on the internet about them). A good dutch shop which delivers of what is orderd to the best of their abilities.
TLDR:
Socials: dead (sad)
Order handeling: perfect
Communication: sub-par (no updates about my order shipping date etc)
Customer support: though to get trough b/c of shortages

First of all, I got a little scared because of the bad reviews that I saw after I ordered. But can't agree with them since everything worked really well.
Pre-ordered a figure and contacted their customer service since there wasn't an update about my order for a while. They responded after a while and it just got delayed until June (that happens with many shops that do pre-orders it's not unusual). The order then got delayed again without notice but I checked some other shops where I usually order and no one got it, so it's not their fault. I thought I'll just wait a little longer before I write them again. Then August came and I asked them if perhaps my order could be cancelled since it's probably still not available. A few days later I suddenly received a mail that my order just got shipped and it arrived yesterday in perfect condition.
Also if you write customer support pls give them time to respond and be patient. They surely don't have as many workers as a company like Amazon, so it will take a while but they will answer. All in all worked really well and they are helpful.

"A bit slow to process orders"
I purchased an 'in stock' figure from their site, and the order was processed and shipped out from their warehouse in 2 weeks precisely. I found it a bit slow, when I contacted the CS they didn't have more information about the status of my order than me, but at least they kept their ETA. The tracking was useless on the PostNL website, but my package arrived after 1 week to my address in Hungary. The figure was securely wrapped and arrived in perfect condition. They wouldn't be my first choice to order from next time, they are too expensive to wait 3 weeks for an order to receive within Europe.

"Scams your preorders"
Dont preorder here you will probably get scammed out of your money for a year.
They:
Dont respond to emails. Dont follow Dutch consumer laws. Has barely functional customer support. And deliver your product 4 to 10 months later than competitors.
Awful experience, please buy somewhere else.

"Worst customer service"
They delayed my figure at first, which is fair enough, but then they missed the second ship date by over a month. I contacted their customer service by phone 2 weeks before and the agent was very unhelpful. She asked for my last name and phone number, puts me on hold and only after that actually asked for my order number. Then she didn’t even let me finish spelling it out and got some letters wrong. It seemed like she gave up and just told me that not all the parts of my “products” are there, but my product was only 1 item. So I told her my order does not contain multiple parts, it’s just a single item. She then lies to me and says it’s processing and will ship in a couple of days. Her voice didn’t sound so sure, but she told me that’s all she could see despite me pressing on it.
It did not ship until 2 weeks later. I contacted them on the 28th of June by phone, then e-mailed them again on the 9th of July with the cancellation request, but I got no reply from them other than a confirmation from the ticket system.
On the 11th of July I received a tracking number and on 12th it arrived in excellent condition.
Their customer service is the absolute worst and is pretty much non-existent, but at least I received my product.

Takes a short while due but package came securely with paper and wrapping to protect against mishandling and kept me notified with updates during the shipping process. Would definitely buy from again!

"Perfect Service"
I ordered an Obey Me sheep back in September 2021 and promptly forgot about it. The item was delayed for a while, but Otaku Square kept me informed all the way. When the item shipped, I was given a tracking number and, to my surprised, it landed in the UK the day later. I could not fault the service I received at all and would definitely buy from again.

"This shop is a scam"
This shop is a scam. I ordered an in stock item with them at the beginning of April. They confirmed my order and told me it would ship 15th of April. Time went by and I never received my order. I have emailed them but I only get an automatic response and when I call them I get promised that they will get back to me… this never happens. Since I paid through iDeal there is no way to get my money back. I have decided to report them to the police in the Netherlands. So if you have also fallen victim to this company please do too, since with more reports they might actually do something. I have also made a report at de Consumentenbond (consumers association). I have also let Good Smile Company know since this company is listed as a partner shop. So hopefully something will be done to stop this shop from operating. But in the mean time PLEASE AVOID SHOPPING HERE.
