"Filling out their on-line "get a quote" is a mistake..."
Filling out their on-line "get a quote" was a huge mistake. Believing, just before I entered my phone number, that they were "Generating a Quote" is a total lie. They give your contact info to, in my case, 30+ other brokers who harass you via phone, text messaging & email. Spoke to one, very heavy accented who was very hard to understand, and it was apparent he didn't even read what I put in the GarShipGuys.com web site. Be prepared to be overwhelmed with contacts, if that's what you want go ahead and press "submit" button after entering all of your info.

"DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SPAMMED"
These people will NOT stop calling me. I wanted a quote and will now NEVER use their services. These people are shady and horrible people.

"In the 15 years that a group of…"
In the 15 years that a group of snowbirds have shipped our cars to Florida, never have we got the great service we got this year from The Car Ship Guys. Jason gave us a quote and he respected it, even though there were some difficulties. Communication was constant at all times. I am so pleased that I recommended another friend shipping next week. "Fraudulent use of personal information…"
Fraudulent use of personal information regardless of you agreeing or not. Submitted Fraud report to FTC and submit every company that calls to the FCC as spam callers. Hope some of you do the same.

"Will Flood you with Solicitors"
If you use this service, you do not get a quote directly on the website. Instead, you will continuously get an obscene amount of texts, emails, and calls per day from different companies trying to give you a quote with no way to turn it off. If you call the number on the website, the representatives will claim to be part of a different sister company and that they do not have your information on file, and suggested contacting Car Ship Guys directly. When I reminded them that this was the phone number on the website and asked if they could give me the actual direct line to Car Ship Guys I was hung up on. I would recommend this company provide an easy way to unsubscribe from the mass of texts, emails, and phone calls once you have the info you were looking for.

"Dark patterns in their website form"
Their web form asked for the model, make and year of the car I was considering shipping. It asked for my email address. When it asked for my cell phone number, I closed the tab without hitting submit (after typing in my cell number). They not only grabbed my cell phone number before I hit submit, they shared it with a dozen aggressive salespeople from different businesses who are texting and emailing me constantly now.
This DARK PATTERN of data capture, and betrayal of privacy rights, combined with sharing my contact information without my consent indicates a lack of ethics. I can't trust all the incoming aggressive sales texts and emails if this is how they get their leads. Seems like a long con. AVOID.
