It was all last minute and was helped along the way amazingly by the owner Lamia walker. She was brilliant and so helpful. Due to such short notice we could not find anyone to look after the dog. Lamia offered to look after our dog which was such a great relief as we were at the point of one of us may have to stay at home. Lamia was helpful through every step of the process and we will spread the word for her site. We will use again. Chloe our dog hand a wonderful time and came back so happy. In terms of the website, obviously not as many properties as other similar sites but some useful information under members section and easy enough to navigate.

Lamia makes it a point to personally interview housesitters when proximity allows and to offer suggestions for good fits between homeowners and sitters. Her sincere involvement gives this business its integrity, which, in my opinion, is the most necessary ingredient in a sharing economy website.

We've just returned from a short break having used HouseSitMatch for the first time. We're really impressed with their service from start to finish. The HouseSitMatch site manager helped us to craft our advert/profile so now we can just update it for next time.

Our Sitter (David) was a delight. We have quite a menagerie (4 dogs, 5 cats, hens and fish) ... it is quite a handful for us and we live there! We were able to meet David before our holiday (he is available on Skype) so we got to know him and talked through the daily routine with the pets. The dogs took to him immediately!

On our return, we found all the animals to be very happy, the house is clean and tidy and everything is in good order. David is friendly and very good with animals. It's reassuring to know that we can now book holidays and not worry about who will look after everything at home.

The lawns were moved, the floors hoovered, the junk mail binned, and milk for a cup of tea waiting for me in the fridge. My dog was very happy too.
