"I would give them zero but it's not an…"

(UPDATE!!). After I posted my initial review, I was contacted by an officer of the company and had my issue resolved amicably.


****I would give them zero but it's not an option. I purchased in-stock items over 3 weeks ago and keep getting a "covid has slowed us down" canned email in response. Since they have not shipped the product I requested a refund and they refused to do it and said they would only do it if they shipped it then I paid to return it THEN charge me a restocking fee on top of that. DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM. THEY ARE CROOKS AND SHOULD NEVER BE USED.

"Stop supporting Megalopolis…"

Stop supporting Megalopolis Collectibles. The are scam artists and thieves. They take your money and never ship your items and refuse to refund you while they ignore your emails. They have a F rating with the Better Business Bureau and it is well deserved. Need more proof that they are fraudsters just check out the numerous negative yelp and google reviews. They are even scamming their own investors (check/see startengine.com investor comments). It is a shame that criminal companies like this are legally allowed to exist. #lawsuitinthemaking

"Charged for pre-orders - have not shipped 15 business days later."

Ordered some pre-orders back in July which were supposed to ship in August. August 22 came around and my credit card was charged for both. With pre-orders even if they receive them at the same time, they will ship separately and cost you almost double the shipping. I was not happy, but I still wanted my pre-orders - it is hard to find the new releases in a timely manner in stores. 10 BUSINESS days after they charged my credit card, the items still did not ship (their standard is 1-3 business days). With the situation with the postal service in the US, I am also worried about receiving the items at all. I called the customer service to see if I can just cancel the order as they have not met their standard and I am worried about my order. The woman (who's customer service skills are POOR at best cancels my other pending preorder while we are on the phone after I tell her I MIGHT have to cancel if the issue isn't resolved. She says she can't make the exception, but I can try via email. Obviously unsatisfied with the response, I send an email. I get back an automated reply saying I will have a response within 48 hours (2 business days). SEVEN business days later, I receive a BS response essentially saying "No." while my items STILL have not shipped. It has now been 15 business days that my items have not shipped and no apology, no explanation. I will never order from this business again and DO NOT recommend anyone else do so.

"Was a decent toy store"

Terrible store. There was a time when Megalopolis.toys could had been great but that has passed. After the store updated its information I doubt Megalopolis is going to ship their previous orders. Now the store is mostly pre-orders even for things that have been released.
They blame everything on covid-19 but the terrible way the company was ran is not thanks to covid. The company managers didn't update their product adequately. Shipping was mishandled which caused it to lose rapport with customers and it might be too late.
If somehow this company survives this fiasco it will take a very long time to recover. I for one would not be doing business anytime soon. I have made purchases but don't want to risk paying for something I'm never going to receive.
