"Total mistake - No quality assured anywhere"
I used this service as I was printing for my assessment for my final major project, and thought it would be less stressful to get them to do my prints for my graduate exhibition as both deadlines were at the same time.
As the one star states, a total unacceptable experience. I was unhappy with the prints and was bewildered as to why they were so shoddy compared to prints received from [Link], and [Link] and to my own prints.
£174 plus a further £26 on courier costs (£4.99 in [Link]) spent for 'quality assured' I don't think so. they told me the quality assured is about the paper used and the mount not your print....So pretty much everything, they wrongfully quality assure, a false claim about their professional service indeed.
The company was recommended by [Link] so I thought they would be quite trust worthy, it amazed me how different the original files that I had sent were so different to every other print I had done myself and other company's managed to get it right and have much cheaper and more professional service where they actually care about their custom.
It really upset me after 4 emails so far and sending proof photographs, original files, the way that I have been spoken down to and constantly being repeated that I should have spent more money on test prints and getting a human being to be there whilst they were being printed instead of paying the cheaper option for a computer to do it...not cheap at all!!
As I have expressed to them that I know about the types of prints and colour profiling expected from a Photography graduate as I always have printed my own work, they still persisted to belittle me re-reading their service options and explaining types to me as if I couldn't read.
I ordered on the 6th of June and had my prints by the 12th and have ever since been trying to get my money back. In short, do not use this company, there are countless local printers out there and other much more professional printers that operate in a small company like this one.
Other universities advise NOT to use this company to their students[Link]. I myself should of stuck to the companies that I trust and have a much better turn around and passion for what they do and next time, I will definitely do it myself. I really did not want to have to give negative feedback, however my experience with this service is going further down hill.

I have never sent off my images to a lab before to be printed and usually like to have full control over the quality of the print and mount. However when I opted for an aluminium mount, this was something I could not do myself and my search resulted in the best option being Spectrum. The service was really easy to use, from upload to payment and I was kept updated with all the information I would need throughout the whole process. Over all I am incredibly pleased with the outcome of the piece and it does look wonderful on the wall, thank you.
The only piece of advice I could offer is to make it clearer on the website tht certain postal options aren't available on all purchases as I had to follow up with a second payment to ensure I could have it delivered on time.

I like to be able to upload my images and order the prints that I want. The quality has always been great, and also fast delivery is really good because often I post the prints on to a customer.

I had to use a different lab for a client that had been recommended a different lab to print work with. I had to pay, then separately upload images via dropbox. no way of linking payment to images.
They didn't provide soft profiles. They didn't elaborate on anything more than the paper being 235gsm 'Satin'. Satin can be a semi-matte, or an ultra gloss depending on what brand it is. I phoned up to ask questions, and was met with short, snappy answers.
Spectrum are willing to chat to you, recommend a paper choice, or giclee over c-type, mounting options, framing options. They provide information to know what the paper is. Soft profiles too. Simple uploading system.
Its good there is a 24hour service. Would be great to have an automated e-mail telling you when your images are printed and ready.
It would be the icing on the cake if you provided images that show the paper. Sometimes i forget how glossy 'gloss' is. Would make paper selection easier!
