Stood up twice
We booked two appointments with Shredall, for a driver to come to our storage unit and take away our confidential documents for shredding. The first time I arrived at the unit (which is some distance from our main offices), waited twenty minutes then called the company asking where the van was. Was informed it had broken down two hours earlier so they couldn't do any call outs that day. Understandable, these things happen - but why not tell their clients as soon as it happens?
Second time - we were left waiting an hour and a half for a no-show vehicle. Little communication between head office and driver clearly, whole operations system seems utterly chaotic. Another total waste of our time. General chaos of it also makes me circumspect of how able they are to properly dispose of confidential documents.

"I talked to Shredall about picking up…"
I talked to Shredall about picking up some cardboard and was quoted £200 per. tonne and £47 call out charge. No idea why the call out charge was there as they weren't called out. They came about 2 weeks later. Anyway received the bill and its £200 with £47 call out plus VAT. I queried this and was told that the min charge was £200 even though they only picked up 880kg. Not once did anyone mention that the £200 was the min charge. Not transparent and won't be using them again.
