"Customer loyalty means nothing these days!!!!"

I have been with teksavvy for more then 15 years loyal customer. After all these years you would think they would keep thier customers happy, WELL NOT ANYMORE.!

Over the years i have endured internet cut off, not in service and technical upgrades, which is normal. Today I received my bill which went up considerbly 4 months ago they said its going up by ten dollars a month because my 15 went to 25 I requested for a 40 a month price now its sixty a month unlimited . Here's the catch, my 25b was not unlimited its was capped at 400, so now they charged over usage by 25 dollars more and changed to unlimited I called to complain. but like most customer service they do not care. my advice don't go with this company , I'm going with another provider at the end of the month...

They are not what they are used to be!

"teksavvy, what happened to you?"

having been a loyal teksavvy customer since 2012, i've seen a gradual decline of a great isp into a below-average service quality provider with the worst support one can imagine.

not too long ago i requested a cancellation of my service and ordered a new plan as i was moving. on the support call i was told that not only i'm not getting any loyalty offers, but the plan i was on was not available anymore and i would have to pay $20 more for the same plan per month. more than that, the agent told me i'll have to pay monthly for a modem, even though i wasn't paying anything on the old plan. at the end of the call i agreed for the plan price, but was assured that the modem will be free for me as i was not paying for it before.

long story short, this followed by a $104 monthly charge for a 150 MBit connection (including the monthly modem charge which was supposed to be waived). i've had at least 6 long chats with support, each one ending with a promise to call me back (of course that never happened).

at the end, i was able to reach a supervisor who basically told me to shut up and pay, and the fact that i was their customer for over 8 years didn't matter at all.

well, what can i say, there are always alternatives - now i'm paying $30 monthly to Fido for the same speed INCLUDING the modem charge.

if you want good service, respect to your loyalty and adequate customer support - NEVER consider teksavvy. they used to be great, but sadly, not anymore :(

"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"

I know internet is expensive. I know this company offers a good deal. And for the best part of a year, I had no complaints. But that's the thing, once things went wrong, they went WRONG. Our modem just stopped working one day. I was left without internet for 10 days. Their customer service is the most frustrating thing in the world. Every time you call, you speak to a different person, who seems to have no understanding of the previous calls, even though they keep notes on file. I can't tell you how many people I spoke to and they all told me different things. When I asked for compensation for the loss of work I suffered as a result of their modem breaking and the fact that I was required to pay for Ubers to get into the office (an unsafe work environment) during the outage, they told me all they could do was provide a credit for the days I was without service. They then processed the credit for the wrong number of days, and I had to call to get that sorted. They eventually replaced my modem and now have sent me a threatening email that I have to return the original broken modem within 2 weeks or I will be charged $130, despite the fact that no one told me I had to return it. I never write reviews, and I could honestly go on and on about all the frustrations I have had with this company. I understand that things are difficult for all companies now with the pandemic, but honestly, save yourself a million headaches and avoid Teksavvy.

"Poor equipment"

Poor equipment, unstable internet. Waited in line for chat support for another company, router decides to restart by itself thus I'm disconnected and have to wait for another 1hr.

"My review of Teksavvy"

Hello,

This is my review of teksavy, customer service is really nice, friendly, understanding when it comes to payments, and other issues during COVID-19. Had to put a payment on hold, and they understood and worked out a payment plan for 15 days ater the due date no fees. This was back in March when jobs were cut off and or hours cut, and CERB was just starting.

Also, would like to note there services don't cost alot of money, and is alot cheaper then Rogers and Bell Canada. Price ranges from $24.95 to around $100.00 per month for Teksavvy's servies.

Loss of one start due to sometimes service getting cut in the Nepean area late at night or during the day, but i comes back a few seconds later.

But overall, teksavvy is a great company to deal with and would recommend there services to anyone whom wants to save money on internet costs.

"TekSavvy has been rock-solid reliable…"

TekSavvy has been rock-solid reliable for over 5 years. The odd time I've had to call support (mostly during start-up) they have been friendly and effective at sorting things out.

When the CRTC reduced the rates the incumbent carriers could charge to the smaller players, TekSavvy reduced my monthly rate THE SAME MONTH. No profit-taking, putting their customers first. You all to rarely see that.

"I've been with TS for over 5-years"

I've been with TS for over 5-years. Outstanding service...in fact, I saw my rate go down a couple of years ago.

Rock solid internet connection, and the one or two times I needed their customer service..it went smoothly.

If TS is available in your area, you may wish to consider switching.
