A very dangerous scam site that can not be trusted - charged my card for close to $2,000 NZD and then cancelled my trip hours later with no explanation. After stating they would refund me they ghosted me and still have not processed the refund. REFUND ME NOW

"Completely untrustworthy site!!!!"
Completely untrustworthy site!!!!! Within hours of spending thousands on a return trip across the world, my booking was cancelled without an explanation and in a very short, vague email DO NOT USE THIS SITE

"Relieved that I could finally travel, but NEVER AGAIN with this company!!!"
The customer service started off well, but degraded to appalling levels during the later stages.
Not to mention that the company does not even have a proper contact number to call and speak to an actual person. The numbers listed in the websites are fake/unreachable, and the website presentation is pathetic.
My experience with Tripomate can be broken down into 3 phases, as described below:
Phase 1:
I booked my tickets through Tripomate and thankfully they came through the following day.
There was a bit of confusion due to some missing passenger details, which led to the tickets being voided. I reached out to the agent Patrick Memosa, who was very helpful to me in getting this resolved quickly.
My ticket was confirmed and all set.
Rating: 5/5 (for the way Patrick handled it)
————————
UPDATE —> Phase 2:
I kept checking my booking periodically in the Etihad website, as I had read too many negative reviews (from other customers) to trust this company.
Then one day I found that there was an operational schedule change to my flights, due to which a particular flight was cancelled. However, an alternate flight was offered, but yet to be confirmed. I called the airline (Etihad) to see if they could confirm it for me. But they had no choice but to redirect me to the agency, as the tickets were booked through the agency.
I reached out to the agency for this purpose at least 5 times, and after 12 days I got a response from the same agent (Patrick), confirming that the operational schedule change had been accepted and the tickets revalidated.
I checked my booking again in the Etihad website and it was all good.
Rating: 3/5 (…..because this is something the agency should have PROACTIVELY informed me about, instead of waiting for me figure it out myself and responding to my emails after a RIDICULOUSLY long delay.)
But luckily there was still plenty of time, and the issue was resolved despite the 12-day delay. So I let this matter slide.
————————
UPDATE —> Phase 3:
Another flight had an operational schedule change…..with change of timings, but with the same flight.
Once again, this is something the agency should have PROACTIVELY informed me about, instead of me continually checking my booking (in the airline’s website) and figuring it out myself.
So the booking status for this flight was updated from “confirmed” to “TK” (to confirm).
Once again, the airline (Etihad) advised me that the agency needs to confirm it for me. This time I chased up the agency several times for this purpose, but got ZERO response from them…..no phone calls, not even a courtesy email!!
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!
Rating: 0/5 (for the unresponsiveness at such pathetic levels)
Luckily the airline did offer me an alternate route: They advised me to call them within 48 hours of departure (of the first flight in the journey), as the airline would then directly take control of the ticket and would validate the changes for me, without getting the travel agency involved.
So luckily it worked out for me in the end, but only because I proactively kept checking my booking, called the airline often and chased them up on the pending tasks.
But this is something the travel agency should have done….by reaching out to me, asking for my approval (of the alternate schedule offered by the airline), and validating the same with the airline.
If not, at least the agency should have the decency to respond to my emails, when I write to them and ask them to do this for me.
Neither of these was done, and the agency just ghosted me in the end.

Lessons learned:
1. Before booking your tickets through Tripomate or any other agency, PLEASE do your research to learn about the reputation and the reliability of the agency……and do this BEFORE you hit the “confirm” button and hand over your money to them. You will spare yourself a great deal of tension and drama by simply NOT engaging with the likes of Tripomate (which has such a horrible track record, as seen from so many reviews and now from my own personal experience).
2. If you have still booked your tickets with crooks such as Tripomate, then crosscheck your booking details directly with the airline, and keep monitoring your booking periodically for operational schedule changes, etc.
3. If the agency is unresponsive and ghosting you despite your repeated requests (to confirm the operational schedule changes or whatever else you need from them), check with the airline directly on what your options are. Etihad has this policy of directly taking control of the ticket 48 hours before the departure of the first flight. Other airlines might have different rules. Check clearly on what the rules are, and pursue the same.
But the Bottom Line is very clear: AVOID this company if you can, and go with a more reliable (and reachable) one. Plain and simple.
Good luck!

"Oh mate, don't Trip into this scam!"
This is a total scam, none of the phone numbers are valid. In my call log I see they routed through Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia and the Philippines, although they are New Zealand hard lines and mobile numbers.
In emails there is no option to click on the highlighted e-ticket number or booking ref, although it says the booking is confirmed.
The bank's fraud team has advised to dispute.
15/9/23 - My money has now been returned via a bank dispute process.
Do not book with this site, it is a total scam.

"Fraud"
On the 6th of February, 2023, I bought an Air New Zealand layover ticket from Incheon, Korea to Auckland, New Zealand to Dunedin, New Zealand. On the Tripomate website, the overseas payment of NZD 1,643.53 was paid by my mum’s Credit Card on the same day at 14:27 KST. As soon as payment was made, I got an email from Tripomate stating that they will send me my e-ticket within 24 hours with their homepage details, my booking number for logging into their website which obviously did not work. In that email, there were their contact details including their telephone numbers over countries of NZ, Australia, USA and Canada. After the payment was done, Tripomate has not sent the email since, and even though I called them over a hundred times they didn't pick up the phone, it was not an existing number, or it was a number of an Australian bank. When I checked with Air New Zealand on the day of my departure, my name was not on the list of reservations. Tripomate only got paid by customers and did not book the actual ticket for them. On an app review website, I found out there were too many people who couldn't get on their flights because they bought fake tickets from Tripomate, they were scammed by Tripomate. Since I only found out my ticket was never booked by Tripomate and my seat wasn't reserved for me just on the day of my departure, I had to buy the last remaining ticket on the ship at the time when it can be the most costly to get on my schedule and I could just make it happen only by a little luck that was allowed for me. For me as a student, NZD 1,643.53 is too big number of money. I really want to get refunded. I will fight until the end to prevent the same thing happening to other people again by this fraudulent group, Tripomate.
On the receipt from Tripomate, cost of the ticket was stated as NZD 1,620.84, but from Shinhan Credit card actually, NZD 1643.53 was paid. The date and time of payment are the same.

TripoMate is very close to creating a revolution when we talk about travel ticketing and more. Their services are really professional, and you can’t help but marvel at the sheer brilliance of it all. This is a huge achievement for a travel brand that’s not very old, but has succeeded in carving the right image for itself. Try it out.

"new surprise"
This website has been a new surprise, and the fact that it is pretty complete in itself makes me very worry-free as a user. I didn’t have to go around and look for other websites to either book a decent stay or get a flight deal for that matter. You’ll like using the portal for sure.

"TripoMate is truly a blessing in…"
TripoMate is truly a blessing in disguise for people who don’t like the fussy stuff of skipping from one portal to another for a no-nonsense travel experience. With everything at a single place and an interface that’s as smooth as theirs’, everything is just superb on this portal. I couldn’t have found a more sound website for booking, in my opinion.
