"Unprofessional and racially bias"

I passed the Assessment day two months ago, which was very simple and easy for me. Same day I passed the assessment day I had tons of Pareto Law recruiters contacting me for interviews. I had an interview with someone from Dun and Bradstreet and he said he doesnt believe I (a black man) speaks like this as I have quite a posh accent and know how to articulate myself. He then started to tell me how he was brought up on a council estate and brought up with Africans, Asians etc as if that was relevant to the interview. Pareto Law will pass you in the assessment day and then drop you and never contact you again. Highly unprofessional company and clearly racially bias. Basically if your face and name fits then you will get the job.

Pareto Law are by far the worst recruitment company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Extremely unprofessional with flimsy procedures and terrible partners who don't answer emails at all! The directors are particularly bad. A company of charlatans - use at your own risk!

Utterly awful! They market themselves as an end to end recruitment and retention company - assessment; recruitment; training - with an average retention rate of 92% after 2 years. They then tie you up in a contract that is not clear, provides them with 100% rights and you with 0%. They presented me with a chap who, on day one, had blue hair was homeless, had a drink issue and did not attend their training. The candidate's contract was terminated accordingly. So poor was the Pareto process that I could not stomach dealing with them again. 4 Years later they sued me for breach of contract.

***TO ALL EMPLOYERS!!! We met with a Pareto Law representative, and even went on an observation day in Wilmslow to view the Pareto Law setup. We were very impressed with everything and looked forward to Pareto Law finding us a suitable candidate. We signed paperwork on 10th January 2020 to pay nearly £8K for the right candidate. Despite NO ONE at Pareto VERBALLY confirming the point that the fee was due within 14 days (admittedly we signed though) REGARDLESS of candidate delivery... This is in contrast to every other recruitment agency we have dealt with in 12 years who have never charged until a candidate has started work with us. Since January we have received ZERO candidates to interview. Now in the last couple of days, with the country in lockdown, ourselves having to furlough 25% of our staff, Pareto Law have thought it a good idea to invoice us and potentially take us to court for payment. I have asked when they are going to provide candidates to interview - not sure how they can when we are having to work from home at present... No response yet... My opinion is we got pressured into signing with empty promises, and now they can't wait to kick a company when they are down. My view is that Pareto Law are an unprofessional and unethical company, especially in this climate.

I applied online for a job with Pareto Law, and passed the screening, and telephone interview process.

I was then invited along to an assessment day in London, but did not attend as I was offered a job elsewhere.

The service I received was excellent, after working with numerous sub-standard recruitment agencies, Pareto were keen, organised, and very professional in their approach to helping me find work as a recent graduate.

I was paired with a mentor, who was brilliant. He called when he said he would call, he would send email confirmations to ensure I was fully updated and aware of each step of the process.

Overall a very positive and encouraging experience with the company.
