Jane Clayton & Co

"Very impressed!"
I brought 2 rolls of Armani wallpaper and came on the exact date given. When I ordered a large variety of samples, Jayne Clayton sent them extremely promptly and kept me informed via email of when the samples and wallpaper were being delivered. 10% discount was very handy to have too!

"Appalling customer service"
Appalling customer service so I strongly recommend not to use. I ordered 2 made to measure roman blinds with a phone promise of a max 8 weeks for delivery when ordered. Heard nothing despite website promising to keep you updated. Chased after 8 weeks told there was a delay and was given a new date. No updates again, chased near new delivery date by email and no response, waited a few days to be told further delay and another new date. No updates again so chased again - no one answering phones or replying quickly to emails, finally told there is another delay. So far 15 weeks since the order and another delivery date ‘promised’ in another 2 weeks so I have given up and asked for a refund. Appalling customer service and total arrogance about it. Don't use.

"Exceptionally poor service"
My only experience of Jayne Clayton has been exceptionally poor. Ordered blinds and checked the timing for delivery because I wanted them within a certain timeframe. Website says 6-8 weeks so thought I could just about make that work. Followed up at around 5/6 weeks as I had not heard anything and got a short ( almost curt) response saying they work to 6-8 weeks. Guess what …. no blinds after 8 weeks and no communications apologising for delay. I have had to chase for updates. First told mid / end of August. Now told possibly mid Sept. IF they turn up then it will be at least 13 WEEKS from date of order. Customer lack of customer care. Don’t promise something you don’t deliver. I would not have placed the order if I had known.

"This is a terrible company DO NOT USE"
This is a terrible company DO NOT USE. Such poor service. They give you stock answers, apologising but never being able to answer a straight forward question like "what is the delay on my order". Orders prioritised and promised on a certain week for delivery but never came and no update. Still no curtains.

"VERY BAD COMPANY WITH OPINIONATED STAFF"
I wish I had read these reviews before I parted with over
£5,000. The furniture was shoddy and marked, I am still waiting for them to replace a table which is now dangerous to use. I thought the curtains were going to be ok but after only 5 months one of the four curtains is coming apart. It would seem that they have all their items made from many different suppliers, you don’t always get what you ordered. Now they don’t answer calls and they don’t answer any emails so that this can be sorted out. Their operatives are rude and unhelpful (that is not the case with every single one, there is the occasional good one). I am now forced to take legal advice and if necessary take this to the Small Claims Court. I have pictures of some of the terrible products they have tried to palm off on me. I cannot get anyone to reply. If you want my advice don’t have anything to do with this company. Churchill customers should take note - DONT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. I am happy to provide photos and emails.
Jane Clayton is described as a ‘designer’. Really! The service is non existent and and her opinionated staff just dont answer when there is a problem. I would love to hear from other people who have been sucked in.
NB I am told by Jane Clayton & Co., that there are two companies, both working in the same building in Paulton Nr Bristol - but they have nothing to do with each other. Two completely separate entities. I think this is just so that when the complaints come in, as they often do, JANE CLAYTON & CO can fob off the complaint to CLAYTON & CO. Both the same company, both as bad as each other. Make sure you know which one you’re dealing with if you go ahead and do any ordering with this very poor Company.

"Absolutely terrible service"
Absolutely terrible service. They take your money and then weeks later tell you your item is out of stock, or even worse, discontinued. You then have to wait a lifetime for a refund. Lovely girls on the phone but that is about the only decent thing about this company

"I ordered interlined curtains made to…"
I ordered interlined curtains made to measure.
They are beautifully made and exactly as requested.
The cost was reasonable for designer fabric.
They took a week or so longer than estimated but we are in the middle of lockdown and they were well worth the wait.

"If you live in Europe don't buy from this company"
Ordered a single roll of paper on 18th December. What you don't find out on ordering that this company don't hold stock. I only found this out when I queried at a, later point when it was likely to be delivered and was told when it arrives from the supplier. It was finally dispatched on the 5th January 2021. After brexit.
I subsequently received a 43 euro import duty and tax bill on a £99 roll of paper. Plus I paid postage. I contacted Jane Clayton who replied on the 23rd February that "of course" they would refund this immediately and asked me to send a copy of the bill I'd received. I sent this straight back and asked them to confirm they had received it and when the refund would be processed.
Since then, and despite 3 further emails, no reply and no refund. It's now 7th March and waiting. So, if you live in the EU and have previously bought from this company try and source your products in the EU. Had I been told by this company it wouldn't be dispatched till January and might attract extra charges, I'd have tried to source it in the EU. I checked, and from Sweden where this paper is from the total bill with delivery and import tax to France it was 110 euros.
UPDATE: Refund has now been paid, which was more than the value of the tax. So, this was a positive gesture.
