"Warning to International Patients – Lack of Transparency and Overcharging"

“I had a very troubling experience at Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda branch, Hyderabad. I came here for Bilateral Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (B/L FESS) and Septorhinoplasty, following my diagnosis. Despite waiting over 10 days, I never received a cost estimate for the surgery. Instead, I was told to wait for someone named Elie, who handles the pricing for international patients, and I later found out that many international patients—especially Somali nationals—have experienced significant overcharging, sometimes up to triple the price.

The international office seems to inflate prices for foreign patients and offers no transparency in the process. Despite their posted patient rights claiming access to fair treatment and pricing, none of this was honored in my case. I could not even meet with my surgeon to clarify the situation because they are being kept unaware of these practices.

If you’re an international patient, especially from Somalia or any other foreign country, please exercise caution before choosing this hospital. Their international office appears to be exploiting foreign patients. I hope the hospital takes action to rectify these unethical practices.”
