I am having to use an umbrella company for my current assignment so carefully reviewed the seven options offered by my agent. I rated each umbrella by i) transparency and accuracy of the illustration, ii) responsiveness to communications both email and phone, iii) quality of website and supporting documentation, iv) margin and hidden charges. Sterling scored highest overall in fact I scored them highly in all of the above criterion. Overall impression is that they are a responsive and straight forward company. I’m confident that my payments will be processed correctly and on time.

I got a phone call late Thursday from my employer saying he forgot to set me up with Sterling. So Thursday evening at 16.30 I spoke to a lady called Jen Boyle. And by 15.00 the next day, Jen had my account all set up a verified so I got paid. She helped me through and had patience with me to help get it completed in time. So a massive 5☆

I have nothing but praise for Sterling Group and the way they dealt with a problem dating back 18 months.
The staff were polite and very helpful and are a credit to Sterling. They should be proud to have people like that around. They showed a very skillful approach to dealing with a problem i had and after initially thinking the fault lied with Sterling i realized it was another parties fault. They offered advice that was helpful and helped resolve the issue. I will continue to use them in future.

Sterling provides excellent service and brilliant value for money. The charges are reasonable and when problems appear everyone steps in to help, from onboarding to payroll to pensions.

I found it a bit baffling reading all the previous reviews. The excellent courteous professionalism from Holly (not Hollie 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏼♂️) was appreciated and top notch. It's not easy dealing with people over the phone as most of us know so give the company a bit of a break and if in doubt give young holly a shout ✅

Take forever to answer the phone even before covid.
When you don't work for them for a few weeks they take you off the system, you then need to register again, it's very annoying.
