The sub contractor arrived on his own. He said his labourer was unavailable due to a cut finger. He was chatty and friendly and I supplied him with coffee from time to time.
He worked methodically throughout the day even when it started to drizzle when he could work inside.
He removed the old rubberised roof and the heavy wooden door and loaded them into his van for disposal. He removed all the nails from the old roof and installed the new metal roofing sheets.
He fitted the new door frame and door and a plastic fascia above the door. The new roof was sealed all round to the brickwork which gave the whole appearence a nice clean look.
To round off, the whole garage was left clean and tidy and all the old scrap material taken away.
I only enquired in the first place to find out if my old leaky roof could be replaced for a reasonable price. I'm glad I asked.
