Having owned a couple of BMWs (and living in Scotland)I have always purchased a set of snow snocks "just in case". Needed them for the first time in February when I got caught near the Cairngorms in a snow storm and completely lost traction. Got socks on the tyres (5mins) and made it safely out of the storm .... brilliant product delivered exactly as described.

My snow chains arrived the next morning after ordering in the afternoon, despite the snow!! I have used them once on a very icy road and they were amazing, no skidding & I could brake with confidence (I live on a steep hill). I managed to get them on in about 5 mins, during a snowstorm. The snowchains saved me & my children a very cold & windy walk back from school/nursery. Thankyou snowchainsandsocks for an amazing product and fabulous service.

"NOT HAPY WITH WARRANTY"

The snow socks are a god send for getting around in the snow. I couldn't even get up my road which only has a slight incline, it took me no longer than 3 minutes to put the socks on my back wheels and then got up my road with no problem at all.

Saying that....I only drove my car with the socks on in snow covered roads and drove no faster than the instructions booklet says (40kmh) and after inspecting the socks after two days i noticed a tear in one of the socks.
I emailed snowsocksandchains.co.uk and explained my problem, i also sent a picture of the damage which i got a reply stating that the damage was due to driving on abrasive surfaces and that the warranty doesnt cover it but as a goodwill gesture they will offer me a new pair for half price and take my damaged sock back in for further assesment to make a final decision.
I am really unhappy with this, surely if you follow their guidelines literally by the book and still something goes wrong something should be done to help.
I wouldnt mind if i was asking for a brand new set for my trouble but i would be happy for the damaged sock to be repaired and returned to me.

Just be aware that just because you get a warranty with them it doesnt mean that you will be honoured with it.

Got stuck in heavy snow fall, trying to drive up and into our driveway!

Kept skidding on the then frozen snow (ice)...

Put the snow socks on the wheels (very easy and quick to do!!!)

Drove forward in 1st gear as if was on flat tarmac in the summer!!

Didn't even spin the wheels once!!

Fantastic product, would recommend to everyone and are also about to purchase a second set for second car!!!!!
