"My 16 year old son and I travelled with High Adventure to Kilimanjaro this year. We had an outstanding trip, and I am convinced that the experience of Mike Allsop in taking groups to high altitude allowed us to achieve our objectives of climbing Kilimanjaro, and having fun along the way.
Crucially Mike's preparation meant we were very well informed and prepared for the challenges of climbing to almost 6,000 metres. The level of attention to detail before the trip, and during every day saw us avoid the problems experienced by other groups.
Every part of the trip;- accommodation, guides, food, safari tour afterwards, etc just worked seamlessly, and we just concentrated on having a good time - knowing all the details and risks were taken care of.
This was my third trip with HIgh Adventure and I cannot recommend Mike and his team highly enough.

I was fortunate to climb Mt Kilimanjaro with Mike Allsop in 2019. On a trip like that where you are outside your comfort zone and require expert guidance, leadership becomes really important. The thing that struck me about Mike is his gentle manner. We all felt safe and well look after, but not consumed by it. He was a fun member of the team as well as being our trusted leader.
It was a trip of a lifetime made all the better to be with a true blue mountaineer and adventurer. Thank you Mike!

"Two fantastic adventures…"

Mike has led two fantastic adventures that I've been on. The first was to Everest Basecamp which was amazing and simply lifechanging. This led me to put Kilimanjaro on my list. I went with Mike and the High Adventures team to Kili this year and and ticked it off.
Both times, Mike ensured that we were briefed well before leaving, that logistics were all in place and that I knew what to do. His team are really well connected with local operators who looked after us (guided, cooked, portered). At all times we were safe, informed and entertained.
