"Bailey Caravan Purchase Experience"
The Bailey Dealership Ropers of Catterick were very good throughout. There was no variations to their exchange deal costs or delivery date and arrangements.
Technical advice and support was provided on request.
In summary we were very happy to travel from Northumberland to Yorkshire in order to get the good service provided by Ropers who we will also use for annual servicing.
It is a pity that we have had bad experiences with our nearest Dealership hence the need to travel so far.

"Poor quality workmanship"
After spending the best part of £30k on our new caravan I would expect everything to be of the best quality. Unfortunately the waste pipes were either twisted or in the case of the shower not even connected. Whilst Bailey would have put this right they would not appreciate it was going to cost me more money to take it somewhere to have repairs done to what there quality control system should have picked up. At no time did they want to offer a penny for my expenses to put their shoddy work right. Love the caravan - not impressed with their quality control or pdi systems.

"The Alicanto Grande Sintra was excellent…"
The Alicanto Grande Sintra was excellent well made, the only problem the wheel spat had a mould imperfection which was picked up by the dealer at PDI this was a minor issue. the only design recommendation I would make is the wash hand basin design could be improved, otherwise a very comfortable and good finish caravan

"I love my 2021 Faro but"
I love my 2021 Faro but I’ve now found that all the seating is labelled “ 2019 Sinatra seats and bedding”. The seats are high density foam not sprung as stated in the 2021 brochure. I have asked my dealer to change these for the correct seating. I also have a white shower not granite as advertised. The heating is not coming out of the back of the seats as there is no gap between seat and window frame. No heating in bedroom although I have bled the system. I have now fitted a sensor in the bedroom area to see if that helps. This is my eleventh Bailey, the last being a Unicorn4 Pamplona which was brilliant. I love the layout of the Faro but these faults spoil my hopes of enjoying this van as much as the last.

"Purchased a Bailey Autograph 79-2f in…"
Purchased a Bailey Autograph 79-2f in Jan 2021, told it would be ready June 7th 2021, did not arrive till 2nd Sept 2021. On arrival the LED running lights we're not installed. Questioned Bailey and to be honest their response was poor at best, they claimed it was their choice to speed up delivery, utter rubbish still arrived 3 months late no apologies no discussion. In short we will not go back to them with customer service like this. Bailey you need to deliver what you say in your brochure
Thank you for your response, I will email as discussed and will update my review post their response

"Rubbish Bailey parts"
We’ve used our Bailey Unicorn Cadiz a total of 8 times since new, due to COVID we hardly used it at all last year. The warranty expired in April 21 and surprise surprise the pressure switch failed in July and burnt out the pump too. Bailey aren’t interested and neither is Whale. Asking around this is very common. My brothers failed in September too fortunately he was under warranty. Come on Bailey take some responsibility for the crap products you are charging us for. I won’t be buying one of your vans again. From new we’ve had to have the bed replaced, the sky light replaced and a failed light.

"I am writing from Australia about…"
I am writing from Australia about problems with our Nebula caravan.
Finish and apart from the usual teething
problem which were eventually fixed we were happy with it.
However after only using it a few times and never for more than three to four days
it was found to have a major leak which required some extensive repairs.
Due initially to a personal health problem we could not use the caravan after it had it first service where we found we needed
to fit a bypass for the pump which had been poorly positioned.Bailey accepted the claim.
At this time we also footed anti sway bars.
Due to covid restrictions and Bailey ceasing operations in Australia we were unable to have the caravan serviced annually.
It was not used and was shedded the entire time.
Bailey have apparently refused this claim due to non compliance with annual inspection.
This was impossible due to
(a) no current agents appointments at the time of the second inspection and the lack of advice as to arrangements to be advised.
No contact was made to us as owners we
only found out by news some time after
the initial pullout and we’re not made aware of any time limit to complain and we did not even no we had a problem.
We have found Bailey Australia less than professional and certainly not user friendly.
We have had this complaint sent to Bailey Uk through their portal and have also rung
Bristol but have not received any reply.
We understand that any Australian claims are dealt with by a couple of persons in UK and would appreciate a reply and some dialogue not to be ignored.
A caravan is a major investment and we believe it was and is a manufacturing fault
and the company is hiding behind a warranty clause which was impossible to comply with.
I look forward to a reply.
Your agent in Australia has been helpful but as indicated his hands are tied.

"We recently purchased Bailey Grande…"
We recently purchased Bailey Grande Sintra after months of houding them it should have been ready March 2021 we got it 4 weeks later. On first inspection after a long drive from Scotland we got very quick demo, we opted for that as we knew the van having sold our last Bailey to upgrade to Grande. On inspection i did point out the kitchen skylight was very stiff they told me its because its new. I noticed the slow closure drawers where very difficult to open again it was because its new. So we took keys left Robinsons Caravan Dealers. When we got it home we got new vinyl floor in kitchen and shower Room and we tiled the bathroom added some coloured LED Lighting just to put our own stamp in it. We then began to notice the shody workmanship in other parts of the van. For the cost of brand new model to have to put up with these issues is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated we are disappointed in lack of communication between all parties they make the sale want nothing more to do with you we could not and still cant get a hold of anyone at Bailey Robinsons it has taken months to respond to us saying we will send parts up to you which i will be refusing to let my husband repair he is more than capable but why should he we should be able to take to Bailey dealer in Scotland have repairs rectified under warranty
1. Pull out slats for bed at front has a chunk out it where a drill has hit it
2. Skylight in Kitchen would not open we had to force it as it was fitted incorrectly with the slider pulley jamming.
3. Shower Tray not silcone sealed lucky we haven't used it only once for my 7 year old grandson to have quick shower as it was to late to go to shower block we noticed the seals where coming away on panels and not sealed round the tray.
4. Chunk out the window frame where its been broken off
5.Wrong size of sink drainer
6. Behind the seating another chunk from a drill on the wood work hidden behind the backrest.
7. Backrest in corner not fitted properly to the foam with puckering to the corner.
8. Drawers are very difficlut to open need two hands to pull them open.
9. Caps missing from holes where screws are round the van
We love the Bailey but all this has put us off up grading in future due to lack of communication and back workmanship to say we are disappointed in them is an understatement. I will be looking at the Coachman for next purchase
