Esperienza molto positiva, fatto l’ordine ho ricevuto il basso una dettimana esatta dopo con un pacco ben confezionato e nessun problema di spedizione.
Non ho dato 5 stelle solo perché a mio parere va perfezionato il tracking dell’ordine, che non è presente sul sito (anche se ti sei registrato) e che ho ottenuto via email da loro solo dopo aver mandato un’email con cui chiedevo a che punto fosse l’ordine…

"Second hand Marleaux Soprano"

The item, an allegedly second hand Marleaux Soprano bass, arrived safely and promptly.
I say ‘allegedly’ as not only was there zero user damage of any sort, there were also no signs of playing wear at all. Normally a satin finish from this maker polishes up at the wear points, especially along the neck. Nothing.
That considered the price was very fair.

Two slight points were one sticking compartment zip on the suppliied gig bag. I’ll trim the internal fabric to sort that.
Very strangely though there is a problem with the fitted Schaller strap locks. The pieces simply do not fit or turn smoothly - as if the black coating has been applied much too thickly. First time I’ve come across that.

The bass itself is of course a joy, and very beautiful. I have fitted flat wound ‘Tiny Boy’ strings from Dogal which as advertised (with some serious re-intonation at the bridge!) take it down an octave to regular bass pitch.
I enjoyed playing it as a Soprano very much too so may well be after a second one to leave at original pitch. A unique instrument.

If there were half stars I might’ve given 4.5 for the above slight points, and also for a non answered e-mail which wasn’t about them. (I hadn’t even received the bass at that point! If it was important though I’d have followed it up.)

Overall though very pleased with the baby bass. Glad I spotted it before anyone else, so thanks to the Buddha of Bass.
