Time To Eat Delivery

Time To Eat is I highly priced, highly overhyped business opportunity. I paid over $50,000 for this business opportunity. The training, which done largely by tutorial videos, many of which were outdated. They claim that this business runs itself. This could not be farther from the truth. I've been working this business since October 2021. My best week was 55 deliveries. There is no way that 55 deliveries per week will turn a profit. I knew going into this that I had a lack of business expertise and that it would not be easy. I figured since TTE would there to support me, that I would be in good hands. When I called for support and advice, all I got was smoke blown where the sun doesn't shine. I was told by a staff member that after 3 months that 30 deliveries a week was great. I didn't want a cheerleader, I wanted actual advice. Luckily I found a great support group via Facebook which has been very helpful in getting my business off the ground.
So if you want to know how to start a SUCCESSFUL restaurant delivery business,do NOT go with Time To Eat. There are much cheaper options, and you can get better support elsewhere. If I could give less than one star, I would.

"Don’t recommend"
I signed with TTE last spring to start what they call a “turn key” business. I invested a large chunk of my savings into this and I feel I was deceived and manipulated. Desiree claimed we would be bringing in upwards of $200,000 a year plus an extra $8,000 a month with the new GFO. She also claimed the business would run itself which couldn’t be farther from the truth. We have been in business for 10 months and have yet to make a profit. Not without lack of trying. We have had zero support from TTE and the training was outdated and unfortunately the staff are under qualified in my opinion to be teaching people how to run a Restaurant Delivery Service. They are all very nice but very young and don’t have any experience or expertise in this business. The communication throughout the whole process was terrible and we were basically left to figure things out on our own. We were rushed into launch without any real idea on how this business worked and how to run our software. There was no one to reach out to when you had questions. You would get a voicemail or the secretary would tell you they were busy and to put in a ticket.
The marketing materials are generic (vista print) and used for every client. There is no originality and if you are in the same area as other TTE clients you all have the same materials and press releases. For all the money you are spending they should at least give each RDS original marketing. It is embarrassing and takes away your credibility as a non franchise local service.
A lot of the items they provide in the package are useless and they buy them right off of Amazon. You can start your own RDS business for a fraction of the cost they charge you. They are taking peoples life savings and setting people up to fail.
I absolutely do not recommend Time to Eat Delivery. Please do not give your hard earned money to this company.

"Our Experience with TTE"
Time to Eat is an organization that claims that they will help you build a successful food delivery business. They represent that this is a turn-key business. Based on our experience they just provide false positives on what you can expect while falsely claiming to support us along the way. We were promised an 8 week training course and all we received was a few modules from 2016-2018. When we asked questions about the “training course” we were often told that the information was being updated and they would send us a new video once they updated it. We asked for training on inputting menus. They said they would make a video for us however they never did. We had to train ourselves on everything. When we launched, we called because we had some issue, we did not receive a call back for 3 days!! They claim to support you over the life of your business, they were not even present during our launch, and they have not been available ever since. We felt once all of our money was received, they conveniently were always very busy! We could not wait days for them to schedule an appointment in order to get answers. Most of TTE employees were very kind and did often TRY to help. The problem is that they are supposed to be experts and we invested our savings and 401K for their guidance and knowledge. Nice is great but we needed expertise! We had a sales rep come to our area as part of our package. Our rep was extremely nice however, we only had 1 restaurant partner when he left. He did not even get 1 workplace, which is what we really needed. We will say it was not completely his fault, COVID made things harder. Prior to him coming we did ask if we should wait and we were told lies that made us believe it would be a great time for him to come. We realized later that they probably pushed it because airfare was so cheap at the time and they wanted to keep the rep working. The marketing material is generic and disappointing. The website and app are also generic, every TTE owner has the same exact site. We did not like our website but we were told that we could not make changes. To this day have some outstanding pretty major issues that were never resolved by TTE. We could go on and on. We are very hard workers and EVERY success in our company has been obtained on our own. We can not express how incredibly disappointed we are that we put our life savings into TTE, we trusted and believed in them and we feel extremely conned and manipulated. If we knew then what we know now we would have NEVER invested in this organization. We have lost all faith and trust in anything that we were told from Desiree (A supposed Christian), owner of the organization or any members of her team. We know we are NOT alone, we have talked to MANY other TTE owners who feel the same as we do.
The Market Delivers
"I have text messages from the owner of TTE stating I am one of the most successful businesses they have worked with. My review is not related drive or my capabilities as a business owner."
Time to Eat represents itself as an experienced Food Delivery, Start Up business. A few Google searches will show a very spotty internet presence over the past few years. They claim their product is turn-key, and they work hard to stand by that by taking short-cuts in the industry and making promises they can't keep. After working with them, I realized very quickly the services they offer are outsourced through a third party. Included in your package, they offer support throughout the life of your business. Since they are not the software provider, the process to gain assistance is to reach out to TTE and then they have to wait to get trained on how to answer your question by contacting the software company they set you up with. I assumed for the prices of the packages, I would be dealing directly with the software company designer so I could customize my site to fit the needs of my business model. In fact, they just put you on a platform with several other businesses like yours. So when they present to you, your "customized website and app", it is simply the template the software company offers and you will see several with the same template. They are not educated in state tax laws and this is concerning since the food delivery service is one of the fastest growing industries right now and it is vital to the life of the business to be current on state tax laws. You will need to hire an experienced CPA to manage this part of your business and it will most likely be an expensive CPA since the industry tax laws are changing so quickly and you will want to hire one that spends the money on continuing their education so that you are filing your taxes properly throughout all of the changes. They are located in the state of CA. If you live in other parts of the country that aren't bankrupt I would seek out finding someone in your area to help you out. They encourage you to use their name and marketing and require you to complete spreadsheets of your contacts and the businesses you partner with. They also encourage you as you are ready to launch your business, to create a few fake emails to write reviews with. I assume they would practice this in their business if they are recommending it to start -up companies who pay thousands of dollars for their expert advice. I have worked very hard to build a successful business in spite of being a TTE client. In fact, learning from them, gave me excellent insight to what my competition would be and I just offered my restaurants better service than what I knew was being offered. Now, as a successful, and still learning, RDS business, I have been witness to how their business model impacts the other businesses who share a platform with them. Their lack of knowledge in an industry they claim to be experts in, backlogs our support tickets by more than 30 days. Unethical sales training has created major policy changes for the entire platform and this has impacted RDS businesses that have decades of experience and have grown through all of the changes in this industry. If you are considering starting an RDS I would recommend another resource. Choosing to enter in through TTE will make your journey much longer than it needs to be and if you have a great business model, it will take longer to gain respect from your peers because the general consensus is that TTE clients are lowering the standards in the industry and for those that have worked at this business for several years, they don't respect businesses entering in to their market through short cuts. There is knowledge everywhere, TTE is not "the expert" when it comes to 3-rd party delivery businesses. It was worth my money to learn what not to do but now that I have the knowledge I'm happy to share it for free and I hope it saves some of you from losing your retirement funds, nest eggs and hard earned money . Each client is encouraged to leave reviews on all platforms before launching their business and in some cases, they are offered marketing materials or supplies in exchange. If you are already a client, congratulations you are in an excellent industry and you can have a successful business as long as you don't limit yourself to the guidance TTE offers you. :)

"Excellent customer service"
Searched on franchise gator to start my own business and found several. Most of them once contacted were either really aggressive, rude or annoying! The time to eat franchise was just the opposite! I spoke with Leanna and she was awesome! Not pushy, understanding, willing to work with you and all in all she gave fantastic customer service! I am investing as soon as our finances clear in the next 35 days! Desiree seems like a very trust worthy business woman and I look forward to working with her and her amazing staff.

"A great experience to say the least!"
It has been a great experience being involved in the Time To Eat Delivery business creation process. All of the products and service that you sign up for at the start are met, but the greatest aspect of Time To Eat is that the creation process is tailored to what you want for your business, whether it be in regard to website or logo design or the business model. Each business starts as it's own and grows into it's own, and Time To Eat is there for expert advice and assistance throughout the whole creation process, and will put in the work until what you envisioned is what you get. Time To Eat Delivery is great!
