The Shutter Store was very communicative, which set us up for success, and the shutters themselves are beautiful (Cafe style wood plantation shutters). They shipped faster than the estimated time and we installed them without any hitches. They are a little darker than the color (sandstone) looked on the website, but this worked fine for us. If you are between strain colors, I'd err on the lighter side. Thank you!

I thought my order was correct, but thankfully the associate Kris called to confirm my order. She was so helpful and made sure to ask why I was ordering a different style than my previous order. We received and installed our shutter yesterday(6/12/21). Perfect fit and great look. I was so very impressed with the ease of the ordering process. The rep that called me to review my order was fantastic! She knew her product and was extremely friendly, detail oriented and interested in our order. I can't express how impressed I am because you just don't experience this level of customer service anymore. Thanks to all at The Shutter Store! We will order more.

"Communication Needs Improvement/Shipping May Take Longer Than Stated"
I ordered shutters and the order was confirmed on 3/29. According to the website, the type I ordered take 7-8 weeks to ship. I received no notification from the company about delays and was given no opportunity to cancel my order based on changes to delivery times. I had to reach out to them around week 7 to get updates on my order. Last week (6/7) I finally got an email letting me know my shutters would ship "at the end of next week" -- now that time has passed and the shutters still have not shipped. I understand shipping delays happen, but taking a full month longer than the time given when I purchased the shutters is dishonest, and not giving customers updates on what's going on only makes it worse. I regret trusting this company.
Update: I received this update (after I contacted the company - I did not receive any communication about the shipping date promised the prior week) on Friday 6/11: "...as it stands now, your order is expected to be at our shipping facility on Monday [6/14]. We are and will continue to make daily calls to ensure we are given what was promised by carrier."
As of 7:15 pm today, Monday 6/14, I have received neither an update on what's going on, nor a shipping notification. Again. If I don't receive a shipping notice by the end of this week, I will have to get a refund. After three months of waiting, that is beyond disappointing because I still need shutters. However, I can't trust a company that refuses to communicate with its customers unless forced to do so.
Update 6/16: After sending them an email Monday night (6/15) regarding shipping, I received an update on Tuesday. This morning I received a shipping notice (see below). My advice when ordering from this company is to communicate with them regularly as that seems to be the only way to know what's going on with your order. They always respond to emails (and here), but if you aren't proactive, you most likely will not be kept informed. I've changed my review to two stars for now - I hope to make it three. I'd like to be able to leave a 4 or 5 star review, but the issue of communicating updates and transparency regarding shipping keeps my score average, unfortunately.

Update 7/17:
My shutters arrived today and they're very good quality. I'm pleased with how they look, including the stain. I'm looking forward to receiving the hinges and the brackets today so that I can hang them. I hope that going forward everyone benefits from improved communication regarding shipping times, etc -- the product is worth it.
