"BEEN TRYING FOR 5 DAYS FOR A RESPONSE"
If anyone can tell me how the heck you can get someone from SpyFu to return my calls, to respond to my emails, to do something to communicate with me I'd be a happy camper. i tried the CHAT and no one is ever on....must be because I need to cancel my membership immediately....I signed up and the site was down all weekend long.....now I will have to do a FRAUD report thru my bank!

"Great tools, confusing site and mixed up pricing policy"
I had been a subscriber for a number of years on and off.
One of the biggest bug bears was being in the UK and every page reload took me to the US data so I would constantly be having to change the drop down to UK.
I was also given a discounted rate on returning and then somehow that membership was cancelled on an active payment method (not by me) and I was then only able to buy a much higher priced subscription.
The site was sometimes problematic to use, but overall I believe the company have good ethics and try their best but I felt it wasn't enough and I found a better solution to my needs.

Don't like that there is no option to upload all keywords data. Not from PPC campaigns, but like from google keyword tool.

I had recently purchased a one month subscription with spyfu and was looking for some very specific data that has been hard for me to find. The data that spyfu provided was the most extensive data list i had received since using such software. Unfortunately the specific data i needed was not showing up for me . I continued on looking for what i need through other methods. After a while i had forgotten that i set up a subscription with spyfu . I realized i was not gonna use the software anymore and wanted to cancel my subscription. I went to account settings and there was a button dedicated to canceling my service. I canceled the service and it worked instantly . They even let me have access to the site for the remainder of what I had payed for originally, which was not customary of ANY company you would normally deal with . It usually goes like "oh your canceling okay we will cut it off now and keep the rest of your money sorry we cant do anything its not in our policy". THIS was no the case here. After canceling my subscription i figured since i only used the software one time i might ask for a refund hoping that they would be able to access my account and see that i had only used it once the day i purchased it . I spoke with DANIELLE in a live chat . she responded immediately and i told her what had happend and asked if i could possibly be refunded for my original monthly subscription . She said YES of course we have a 30 day money back guarantee. Which in my experience dose'nt really mean there is a 30 day money back guarantee , it usually means jump through hoops , do a dance and write us a ten page paper on why u don't want our service and maybe we will give you half of your money back. So DANIELLE accessed my account and within 3 minutes she had refunded my original monthly subscription and made sure everything was ok so that i wouldn't be billed again in the future. She said i would receive a refund to my account within 3-5 business days and that was it. No forms to fill out NO questions asked No guilt tripping me or asking me why i wanted to cancel or have a refund . She was awesome and the customer service as well as service that SpyFu provides is TOP NOTCH. I really want to thank SpyFu for standing by there word and provided excellent service , even to people that are canceling a subscription they treated me like i was just signing up.

"Mixed, with some good things"
I have ben a subscriber for nearly 6 months now. I had been able to get invaluable competitor keyword information and Adword ads from spyfu in that time. I will continue to subscribe and would give 5 stars but for these issues:
1. I was not able to export keyword lists from spy into Google Adwords on the couple of occasions that I have tried - Adwords basically says that spyfu's CSV file is not in the right format. A spyfu adviser later said that there was a technical problem with spyfu systems on those days (just my luck!).
2. On some keyword lists, I can't go beyond the second page of keywords, that is I can only see the top 50 - 100. This probably disappointed me the most.
3. I have been doing Google Adwords for a client for the last 6 weeks. We have had reasonable success with the campaign with around 1500 click through sessions from a thousand visitors to the website. Yet I can't find any data about the retailer on spyfu, so we cannot benefit from any of spy's insights to improve the campaign. This is really disappointing.
Apart from these, the potential of spyfu for my digital marketing business is trully huge.

The SEO graph is branded to Spyfu so we can't export the image and share with clients. It's really the only reason I'm considering a different service.

Spyfu is one of my top 3 PPC tools of all time... and it keeps improving all the time.

"Opinion on SpyFu"
On a whole..i think the site is very ambitious, and when working right, offers so many great tools and features for anyone tracking paid and organic search and keeping tabs on the competition as well. it's feature reach and relatively inexpensive.
All of that said, I run into constant bugs with the features where I'm continuously going to SpyFu's live help to report them...and they seemingly don't know about most of them until I report them. They often take a while to correct as well.
One other gripe is that some of the data doesn't always add up to making sense(estimated CPC or # of clicks, etc0..and when I ask SpyFu about it...they don't always have great answers for why the data doesn't make much sense..other than "we're just grabbing what the search engines give us" or something along those lines.
In theory the service is terrific...but to reach that height I'd like to see the site not only big-free...but consistently bug-free. I think there is room for improvement in QA and testing.
Does the subscription help me? Undoubtedly. Have I run into issues with bugs many times where it limits how much time and strategy I can put into SpyFu? Absolutely. I keep the subscription because I figure sooner or later they will perfect all they're trying to accomplish. I just wish it wasn't on my dime sometimes.

This has been a service that we've used for new business, and to take our existing clients to the next level, for years. I've tried a couple of the competitors, and still prefer SpyFu.
