I recently hired Checkmate Facilities to undertake some extensive renovations on my house. This project was incredibly important to me, as I had been waiting and saving for over 10 years to finally renovate my home. The project included removing an old kitchen and a wall, installing a new kitchen, replacing all exterior and interior doors and windows, installing new flooring, and replacing radiators throughout the house. With no idea where to start, I luckily found Tony at Checkmate Facilities online.

From the very beginning, the process was thorough and quick, with everything explained in detail. Tony and Gary (and all 3rd parties hired) were extremely friendly and hardworking, always ready to answer my numerous questions with patience and clarity. Cheryl in the office was also fantastic, always professional, friendly, and quick to respond to my queries via email.

During the renovations, a few changes had to be made due to updates in building regulations and a room split that was done prior to my moving into the house. Tony explained all the changes to me and advised the best way forward. These changes included swapping external windows to fire escape windows and installing a fire alarm system, all making my home safer.

The entire project, from starting the work to completion, took just 7 weeks. The work was carried out exactly as contracted, and the final results exceeded my expectations. I am extremely happy with the completed job and highly recommend Checkmate Facilities for any renovation needs. The entire team made the experience stress-free and enjoyable, and their craftsmanship is top-notch.

The 2 main builders were always cheerful, considerate, and hardworking. They made helpful suggestions if it was unclear what I wanted. The quality of work was good, and they were careful to clear up afterwards, though of course there was still plenty of dust about.

I’ve had Checkmate Facilities come to work for me Both work wise and personal. Tony and his team work is absolutely amazing and you get exactly what you pay for with no shortcuts. They corrected a job that someone else did on my bathroom and multiple times where we’ve had leaks and since they been I to fix that is has never come back and we’ve never had a problem With time management.
