"SCAM!!!"
They pride themselves on being tuition-free, but what they don’t mention is that there are actually a lot of fees. You’ll still be paying thousands for a degree, which they don’t tell you until you’ve paid the NON-REFUNDABLE $60 registration fee.
What they also don’t tell you is that you can’t apply for a scholarship for a certificate program, which costs $600.

"The best quality education and super flexible"
The quality of education, the cost, and the flexibility to take and sample courses free before commitment make The University of the People the best education provider worldwide!

"I'm glad that my time at UoPeople is over. "
I will graduate from UoPeople soon. I'm giving 1 star because your average review score is MUCH higher than it should be. Most of these reviews smell very fishy by the way. What kind of student goes on TrustPilot to give a 5-star review after having just joined the university (like so many reviews claim). It just doesn't happen that way. UoPeople deserves nothing higher than a 3 overall. The courses and materials are quite poorly designed. The instructors are wildly inefficient, unreliable, and inconsistent. The university seems completely and utterly indifferent to the voices of its students. And, the real reason for my 1 star, the university seems to have made no attempts to improve itself over the years. It absolutely infuriates me to see Shai patting himself on the back every year while steadfastly ignoring all the concerns which are consistently raised by the students.

"As a student at the University of the…"
As a student at the University of the People, I have had the opportunity to experience a truly unique and rewarding online learning environment. From the moment I enrolled, I was impressed by the university's commitment to providing high-quality education to students from all over the world.
The online platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple to access course materials, participate in discussions, and submit assignments. The faculty and staff are highly responsive and supportive, always willing to help with any questions or concerns I may have.
One of the things that sets UoPeople apart is its focus on accessibility and affordability. As a non-profit institution, the university is dedicated to making education accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. This is reflected in the low tuition fees and generous scholarships available to students.
The curriculum is comprehensive and well-structured, covering a wide range of topics and subjects. The courses are designed to be engaging and interactive, with a mix of lectures, discussions, and assignments that challenge students to think critically and creatively.
I have particularly enjoyed the opportunity to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures, which has broadened my perspective and understanding of the world. The university's emphasis on community and collaboration has created a sense of belonging and camaraderie among students, which has been a valuable part of my learning experience.
If I were to suggest improvements, I would recommend increasing the availability of live online sessions and providing more opportunities for students to engage in group projects and discussions. Additionally, I would like to see more resources and support available for students who may be struggling with certain subjects or assignments.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience at the University of the People. The university has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, accessibility, and support, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flexible and affordable online education.
- Pros:
* User-friendly online platform
* Highly responsive faculty and staff

* Opportunities to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures
* Sense of community and camaraderie among students
- Cons:

"I took my UoP classes as transfer…"
I took my UoP classes as transfer credits and completed my degree at UoPeople. They are very similar institutions. I would say UoP has a better 'discussion' format, but overall, quite similar.
The only thing I can't figure out is, if UoPeople is in Pasadena CA, why do they ship out the degree from Bangalore India? It's a piece of paper. Couldn't they print it in Pasadena and save the cost of shipping? Just my suggestion.

"Admissions/Advisor"
Admissions/Advisor; taking weeks to make changes to may account. Signed up for BS in Business. Paid the $60. It took weeks to set up my account. Then I decided to switch to an Accounting Certificate, Paid the $60 again. Advisor keeps telling it takes time to withdraw from one program to go into the other. I work in the corporate world. School should have turnaround times listed on their site. When you make a payment, the payment should be accurate (only one payment shows). New student (just like new business) should take priority. Get us in there, signed up and class onboarding quickly. That's how you get good reviews.. Not happy.
