Recently, I attended the Get Into Medicine Conference and this definitely exceeded my expectations! Not only was this extremely informative, it was also helpful to gain top tips from other successful applicants. I would absolutely recommend this to other aspiring medical students to learn more about UCAT, university applications, medical interviews etc.

Going through the conference provided by Medic Mentor and Dr Siva has expanded my knowledge of becoming a doctor. They’ve went into great detail on how I should apply to become a doctor, how UCAS works, how to write a convincing personal statement and etcetera. Medic mentor’s get into medicine conference was very insightful and made the pursuit of a medicine career so much less daunting!! I appreciated how they went step by step on how they as a programme will fight to get their members into medical school. Their guest speakers (medical students) were incredibly useful and made their talks relatable, this made me believe that medicine is not an unrealistic goal and if I work hard I will be where they are today!

There was a lot of information about the changes in the ucat and personal statement and that was really beneficial for S5 students however the session didn’t include much information for current S6 students about their applications (gateway to medicine) if they did it would ease a lot of students and help them cope with the presser on them right now.
