"The initial setup fee is £71.98 - And they never tell you if you get mail, just charge you for storing it!!"
The setup fee is taken from your account AFTER you close the account. They do this by continuing to take payments for the following 2 months after you close the account. This means my setup fee was £71.98. Many other registered address companies don't charge a setup fee.
They also charge you for mail storage even when no mail has ever been delivered, even after you've closed the account.
A very underhand business.

The first time I hear I have received mail is when they reply to this review!! Unbelievable! I've just checked all email from this outfit and never have they contacted me to tell me I have mail.

I started a new business a few months ago and had no idea that a service like this even existed! CSnotepad was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so pleased they did. Trying to juggle a new business with fulltime employment was beyond stressful, and answering calls during the day was sketchy at best and really unprofessional. CSnotepad transformed all that overnight, every call gets answered when I can't, and it sounds like I have my own receptionist which is great for the image of my business! I can only see CSnotepad becoming more and more valuable as my business (hopefully) grows. I'm recommending their service to anyone who will listen!

CSnotepad is the sole reason I’ve been able to start my business, without them it would be impossible. I’m in the very early stages of starting up a business so I’m juggling it with my full time job. Answering the phone to potential new customers has been difficult and unprofessional during the day when I’m working. Handing the calls over to CSnotepad has relieved so much stress and anxiety. I know that my calls are being answered and dealt with professionally and that I’m not losing out on new leads that my new business so desperately needs. When I finish work I can just switch my divert off and take my calls myself, so it’s a service that I feel in complete control of which is important. A* company to deal with, they made everything so easy to set-up so it never felt daunting. I can only see this service becoming more valuable as my business grows.

I've been using the telephone answering service from CSnotepad for many years now. It's been a real support, particularly during Covid. At the moment my business is running on a very small team of employees, so it's been great to leave answering the phone to CSnotepad, it's been one less thing to worry about during testing times. Every time I've called them to tweak my service they've always been polite and helpful, and genuinely seem interested in making the service right for my business. It's great to have confidence in the service, and just leave them to it really! I've already recommended them to several friends and associates, and will continue to do so.

Not a review but a guide to protect yourself from fraud by CS Notepad
1. Check the invoice - You will notice there is no date of the period you are paying for on the invoice.
2. Check post - Ensure you have collected all post before the end of contract. Confirm this is writing from themselves or they will charge you £30 to put it in the bin.
3. Send the email to every single email address you have as when you want to cancel, they will ask you to forward it on and ignore the date of the initial request.
4. When you want to cancel, do this early in the month as they will try delay tactics to move it onto a new month which you will have to pay for.
5. You'll find when you cancel, they will ignore your email. Send them an email again later that day, reinforcing that whether they respond or not, this is notice of termination.
6. Check the invoice date, you may notice they have sent you an invoice a month earlier than they should in hope that you will pay for the same period twice without noticing.
They will then send invoices and threaten you with fees if you don't pay but stand strong and state that you cannot pay a fee for an invoice which does not clarify the date, especially if it's two months in and not three. Ask for clarification of the dates of which they will then ignore and say it was a mistake.
7. Make sure you pay the invoices on time as all of a sudden they charge you £4 for sending one chase up email, despite sending multiple emails free of charge when you are on boarding.
8. When you leave, cancel direct debits from them with your bank and standing orders but most importantly cancel your card and get a new one as they will continue taking payments out.
9. Once you've left you will start receiving emails saying you owe them money, they will then claim they have forwarded mail on to you. However ask for proof of postage as this is very unlikely.
I would have been more than happy to pay for their services for many years. But due to their greed, they only received 3 months of business.
Whilst they gained £50 in the short term they lost hundreds of pounds in the long term.

"Great Service - Highly Recommend"
I've been using CS Notepad since 2012 and always found them to be highly professional, very courteous to my callers. They have been helpful with any questions and very flexible. I like that all of their staff are well spoken, and my callers don’t realise they are talking to a ‘call centre’. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for help answering their calls, or who want to give their business a more professional presence.
