"Jordan Fishwick Property Management"

Jordan Fishwick has managed my Chorlton property for the last seven years. During this time, Joely Brooks has been our property manager. I cannot speak highly enough of Joely. She replies quickly, her communication is clear, and her advice is second to none. Although our tenant has been challenging, Joely's professionalism and support has made a challenging situation less stressful. Thank you for all of your support Joely.

" Professional service, helpful, timely and fast"

One time my electrical system went down. I sent an email report to the property manager in the morning. She immediately contacted the relevant contractor and the problem was solved that day. When renewing the lease, I wanted to change the terms. She immediately contacted the landlord and the problem was solved that day.

"Professional and Attentive Service"

We've used JF to rent a property for a while now and we cant really fault them. Email queries are answered promptly, usually with a follow up call as well. Any jobs outstanding do get attention and the service from Tom in the Manchester office is just what you expect and more. Its a pretty hassle free experience which is exactly how it should be!

"Dont use Jordan Fishwick"

My experience with Jordan Fishwick has been disappointing, particularly in comparison to other agents I've worked with. They charged me £1900 to find three tenants, despite my involvement in the tenant selection process. For one tenant, my mother and I conducted viewings and chose the tenant, while Jordan Fishwick only handled referencing. In another case, they simply forwarded a video I had filmed to a prospective tenant, essentially rendering their service redundant. It feels like I could have achieved the same outcome by using OpenRent.com

Furthermore, the last tenant they found caused substantial damage to my recently refurbished flat. It's evident to me that Jordan Fishwick prioritises profit over providing quality service. I'm convinced they intentionally attract problematic tenants to pressure landlords into utilising their property management services and incurring additional fees. They are absolute fleecers!

Given these experiences, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for property management services. Jordan Fishwick's practices demonstrate that their primary concern is extracting money from clients rather than delivering value. I will not hesitate to share my negative experiences with others in both Macclesfield and Chorlton, and I will be seeking alternative solutions for managing my properties.

UPDATE:

Please look at Jordan Fishwick’s arrogant response.

Full of contempt for landlords. As it happens I don’t make thousands of pounds of income from these properties. The business is up to the hilt with mortgages and profit margins are very small, these are purely for my pension as I work for myself.

The problem I have is that.

I took all my own photographs. Had already paid once for getting a tenant in.

But, was charged for all the marketing etc all over again when the tenant they got in moved out. All they did is repost the advert, didn’t do any viewings and replied to one email and then charged £750. When I was promised it was going to be £450.

This is where my problem lies with Jordan Fishwick. As you can see, a reduction in fees for multiple lets and no viewings should be implemented.

They mention that I don’t have them managed so why should they care…

Why on earth would I have them managed when this is my main business. Why would any sensible person spend £1000s on fees when most things can be dealt with directly with the tenant. Landlords who use agents to manage maintenance aren’t really in touch with their tenants in my opinion, or have dozens of properties and just look at profit, I like to get involved with the properties and like the fact that the tenants feel comfortable to ask me directly for help etc. I want my tenants to feel like they can get directly in touch to sort a problem out faster. Not go through a middle man.

I rest my case.

"Avoid at all costs "

Jordan Fishwick managed our property for 4+ years and while it was good to begin with and we had attentive service it quickly declined and we had incredibly poor service. They are very quick to request money from you and encourage you to sign a contract but they absolutely will not fix any maintenance problems, even if you complain multiple times. If you end up getting Stefan Bowers as your property manager then god help you because the man is about as useless as a chocolate teapot and will not reply to any of your emails. If he does reply to your email he is aggressive and completely illiterate - good luck. Avoid these estate agents at all cost.

"Avoid Avoid Avoid Martin Moston and his team"

If could award 0 stars this would be a better option.

Patronising Martin Moston - has no clue about property. Says he's speaks as he wishes.

Taylor and Megan are rude arrogant and get this if you want to visit a property you need to provide funds etc.

Seriously avoid this branch.

"Property rental nightmare. Avoid agent at all costs"

Though the sales side of the business appears okay, with some great reviews, the property management and rental management side is appalling.

To be clear and way of update the Landlord to his immense credit intervened and ensured I did get my deposit back. He had left it to this Agency and assumed they would act more honourable and professional.

Where do we start? Maybe the beginning. I rented Woodbrook Tower in Alderley and on agreeing the rent, as advertised, the estate agent then tried to increase it 10% right as I was about to sign. Yes incredible and they had no other offers and the property was empty. They then told me it would be cleaned professionally. It clearly wasn't. Including dirty cutlery, dust everywhere and a coffee machine with mold in. They knew it had not been properly cleaned. Yet that was their job as managers of the property, with an overseas landlord.

Even the estate agent showing me around said it was dirty.

On access to the property I noticed a lot of flies around. It soon became apparent there was a serious infestation of flies, which was well known and at one point wasps in the top living area of the property. Nothing was ever done and I was even told just get fly killer! The property was also old and had damp. Then I got a notification they wanted to up the rent another 20%. Yes 20%. When I spoke to the Landlord after about this he confirmed this had come from the Agent, who was trying to get more fees.

But before that a lady call Jasmine was sent around to photograph and film every room and take photos of all my personal property. It was a massive unexpected intrusion of my privacy. She said she had been told to do it, making out she had that right. That's how they now document an inspection. This was later confirmed in email by her manager. Including photos of any papers on the table or usage of any items in the property. It was incredibly distressing. But that's how these guys like to operate. I also complained about the flies again, but she said that would be down to the landlord (overseas!) to resolve and as property managers they had no involvement or responsibility to me.

Finally, after I cleaned the property to a far far higher standard than I inherited it. They told me they would be deducting a full professional clean from my deposit. This is after I was effectively forced out due to them hiking the rent up.
As they obviously had someone else lined up. Overseas people it turned out that were happy to pay more.

A fellow neighbour told me the property was due major roof repairs and that is probably why it is damp.

So please take this as a warning. This was a £2500 pcm property and now rented out to the next people at 20% more.

Update: The agents are claiming I wrote some the negative reviews below. Which I have not. Eg Kevin Hainsworth. Surely they know that was not me. They also sent a number of emails saying I was out of order complaining and should be ashamed of complaining. Their own complaints process is line manager based - so there are no true checks and balances. They mark their own homework.

I stand by the key facts. 1. Trying to up the rent 10% after I had agreed to be the tenant. (Have emails on it).2. Upping the rent as soon as they could by 20% and no regard to rental laws around that. 3. The flies and wasps infestation. Which l meant two rooms were unusable. 4. Using one of their mobile phones to record my personal stuff, including photographs of tables with my documents on. Without my agreement and claiming the landlord had asked for it. They eventually had to admit that was not true - just blamed him 5. Damp issues - which I accepted around an old house in need of repairs and absent Landlord that assumed he was paying the estate agent to look after everything

6. Dirty kitchen and house not properly cleaned on moving in. 7. Staff focused on themselves and not prepared to think of tenants as clients.

Yes they can send me emails saying I should be ashamed of complaining. But that will not fix their ethics. They can bully but with the majority of TrustPilot reviews being the lowest star, at some point they will implode. My story isn't the worst, but their reaction and zero tolerance to feedback and complaints is unique.

"After 40 years in the same house we…"

After 40 years in the same house we were very glad to have the Wilmslow JF team's knowledge, experience and professionalism to help us through the process of selling. Very successful outcome, and very good communications throughout with Broghan and Richard. People tell us it's never great fun to sell a property, but it certainly helps to have confident guidance and support through the process.

"Terrible underhand service"

Terrible underhand service. They took four weeks from taking my deposit to eventually telling me they wasn’t giving me the property. They wouldn’t give me my deposit back then they put it on the market for 2 1/2 thousand pounds more per annum. That seems almost illegal

"Abusive Chelsea Gardner; Behaviour Endorsed, 🚩😳"

UPDATE (5th February, 2024):

Investigation into Chelsea Gardner's behaviour completed.

I now quote from Martin Moston, director of this appalling agency:

"Having formally reviewed your account with Chelsea and compared to her account, she advises she did swear at you once, for which she is frustrated at having let herself down, but refutes any other claim. Chelsea has advised this was in the ‘heat of the moment...'

It goes on...

"We have not had any other such complaints and the staff member in question has been working for us for 18 months with no question of character and excellent feedback on how they deal with clients..."

Additionally, not once did the investigation mention the cold calls from withheld numbers asking about my situation and they are going to "pop down to see me."

This started to happen straight after the abusive confrontation with Chelsea, which I told the investigating team about immediately.

It would seem that this abusive behaviour that people like Chelsea exhibit towards customers is actively endorsed by senior management of this disgraceful organisation. Chelsea has not even received a caution for her behaviour, with senior management taking her side of her deranged story. Plus, this company/ employees misuse personal information and go against GDPR legislation.

I will let readers of this review conclude whether to interact with this company or choose a more friendly, professional agency.

January 26th, 2024.

Wow...where do I start , 😳?

I had two viewings booked today.

First viewing there was a mix up with postcodes by another employee, but I got there within the stipulated time, just for Chelsea to leave, even though I had fifteen minutes remaining and was at the correct place.

So I sent emails to Chelsea and the rest of the team, but they (especially Chelsea) can't seem to admit their mistakes or say sorry.

I then had another viewing at 4:30pm, and arrived there by 4:20pm. I then received an email saying the viewing was cancelled. I phoned the office, and they said it was not cancelled and Chelsea would be there.

What happened next is unbelievable:

Chelsea arrives and I told her my name and viewing time. She said it was cancelled due to my conduct!!! I had ready wasted the whole afternoon for these viewings, so questioned Chelsea's decision.

She then went ballistic and started screaming and shouting whilst calling me all the foul, discriminatory names you can imagine. It got to the point I had to walk away as she got in my face threatening to slap me and get 'bad men from Manchester' to sort me out!!!

She is one disturbed and unprofessional individual I have ever encountered.

Suffice to say, I have lodged an official complaint and will update this review when I know the results. However, I implore everyone wanting to use an estate agent in Manchester, whilst avoiding this one like the plague until they sack employees such as Chelsea.
