"Anularon mi reserva sin aviso"

Reservé un chofer con ellos del Aeropuerto de Charleroi a Bruselas y pagué con Paypal. El pago fue confirmado, pero nunca me llegó un retro aviso por parte de Prestigedriver confirmando la reserva. Me canse de escribirles por todos los medios posibles, les llamé por teléfono, was app… me contestaron cuando ya estaba bajándome del avión para decirme que no tenía reserva, que procederían a la devolución del importe pagado. Un desastre, yo no me jugaría las vacaciones con una empresa tan mal organizada como esta.

First experience and totally satisfied: clear and easy-to-use site, driver on time, courteous who does not hesitate to lend a hand to carry the suitcases, transparency in prices (no more stress from the counters of classic taxis ), in short, I highly recommend them. :-)

"A big surprise from ‘fixed rate, no surprises’"

We have booked a taxi from the airport and the main reason for us to book with Prestige Driver was them claiming on their website that you get a fixed rate and no surprises with them.

That was the biggest lie in our experience with them.

Their driver has arrived to the airport at the time when our plane landed - ridiculous business approach for the airport pick-up company. Did they genuinely assume the plane would drop us off in the car park?

On that day, we were unlucky and got stuck at passport control - queuing took us an hour. My partner has messaged the driver and explained that we got stuck in a queue. When we finally picked our luggage and went to look for the driver, he greeted us, helped with the suitcase and said nothing about the delay.

When we set off, he said that in addition to our €45 charge, we would need to pay €30 as it took us more than an hour to get through security and luggage pick-up.

Imagine this: you are in a foreign country, in a car with a man you don’t know who asks you for money. Car is moving, you can’t say no and leave, you are not in control. I personally did not feel safe and mainly because we have not seen anything about these additional charges anywhere, we started looking for them in the car and could fine nothing, so it felt like some sort of scam.

I asked my partner if we should call police and ask for help. The driver clearly heard the word ‘police’, started shouting, making odd comments and ended up just yelling, ‘Give me my money, just GIVE ME MY MONEY.’

Honestly, this is the worst taxi experience I have ever had. If I was on my own or with a female friend, I would have been freaking out.

I don’t know Belgian law, I cannot tell you how legal this behaviour was but it definitely was inappropriate from business’ and even simple human perspective.

Please, be safe and stay away from companies like Prestige Driver.
