My story started in August of 2018 when I showed photos of a friend of mine who wears a hair system. Paid over 500.00 deposit and waited until almost thanksgiving only to have a piece applied to my head that literally looked like a bad Don King wig. After another ‘system’ with nothing but issues and yet another one. This time when I woke up in the morning it looked like an Ann Bancroft wig. By the beginning of February 2019 I’d just had more than enough. I went in had them remove it and told them I wanted out of their rotation. We didn’t want to set up up to fail is exactly what they said. Also denied ever seeing my original photos or even knowing my friend. Nothing like when I’d started when they said “ o is that - ——. Complete sham. Refusing to refund even a dime. They’re very kind to your face and pretend to be looking out for you. STAY AWAY, I’ve reported them to the Better Buisness B. Run as fast as you can. I went home. Buzzed all my remaining hair off. Wore hats for a couple of months. And btw I was wearing a hat even with their system aka Chinese wig.

I was a customer for 3 years with the glue on hair pieces . I can strongly recommend that no one do this . I spent about $17-20,000 during this time and although I loved my new found confidence , I had to stop because my scalp became so inflected . I have been off the program for 2 years and continue to battle sores in my scalp and even other places . I believe I caught some terrible bacteria that my body cannot get rid of . Have been to dermatologists to no resolve . I have pictures to release of my head after leaving hairclub showing my baldness and infections . I told my club consistently for that last year that I was there and no one attempted to help , just told me to keep pouring the scalp cleaner on it . Summary , spent a lot of money and left with apparently life long doctor visits .

I have been a client going on 30 years.Over the years I have been completely taken back by the way HC Corporate treats their clients but I still go back because of the staff at my salon.

HC should be grateful that the staff at the Elmwood Park N.J. provide the service, support and care to their clients. I give a lot of credit to me remaining a customer to Joann who goes above and beyond to help with appointments and especially to Jaime who is one of the main reasons I remain. Jaime goes above and beyond to make things right every time.

"Maxxam Product Change is TERRIBLE"

Just posting incase someone reads this from corporate.
The change in the new Maxxam products are Beyond terrible.
Hair looks and feels worse and honestly thinking of cancelling for this reason alone. Going to be a tough decision but can't believe after 15 years a product formula change might be the reason I take it off.
Confusing labels, new formulas, discontinued old formulas, smaller bottles and mist release vs spray is just the beginning.
New moisturizer takes the tape right off in the shower and new spray gel has no wet look and seemingly no difference in formula between the mens and womens. Also many products now have Alcohol when they did not before.

I have been a client for last 3 months till now and today Madhuri Patil install my hair piece till now I had some or other problem but today Madhuri treated me well and I feel little satisfied hence I recommend her service.

Is been 1.5 years since I started at Ann Arbor MI hair club. Most of my guy friends are 10-20 years younger than me. They all still have hair. Mine was receding rapidly. We are all bodybuilders together and i am the biggest and strongest. Also the baldest. I know i can't have my youth back but i looked 10 years younger before, now i look 20 years younger with hair. Not my opinion, others can't tell I am 62. I love styling it, looking at it and the feel of it. Can't be described how much more confidence I have. The whole crew at the Ann Arbor club are awesome. Kelly is my wonder woman. Love it!

"Horrible! It’s just a toupee."

Horrible! What is Hair Club? It’s just a toupee that is glued on your head with a chemical and/or tape. I wish I could post pictures of my raw head!! The fake hair is so bad I still had to wear a hat. They never could get the color to match, if the wind blows you’re screwed, it’s itches like crazy, if you sweat your head will start to smell bad, you can’t enjoy the outside, the list goes on and on. Also, it’s very expensive!! I was with them for several years because I had image issues and was afraid to shave my head. But after dealing with the anxiety and stress that Hair Club causes and the sores the chemicals and tape causes, I said hell with it and shaved my head. My only regret, I didn’t do it 10 years ago. LOVE YOURSELF and run as far away from Hair Club as you can!! It’s been a month since I shaved my head and my head is still trying to heal from the sores!! Oh! And Hair Club will totally ignore your emails and doesn’t care about the damage it causes to your skin. BEWARE and know Bald is beautiful. “Don’t let fear decide your future”

"the absolute worst"

the absolute worst. dishonest, sleaziest people I've ever dealt with- both at the Seattle location and the St Louis locations. Prices are extremely high for a very average product. I was a customer there for 6 years before I figured out just how badly I was being taken advantage of. If there customers had clue how many options- better options - were available to them- gosh I just wish there was a way to let them know I sure wish someone had told me.
