I telephoned Monty's in Cheltenham to discuss a pick-up solution for one of my guitars. The guy I spoke to was very helpful, and made a suggestion as to what might suit. He quoted two weeks delivery. I followed up with more research and ordered a pair of pick-ups from Monty's online. They arrived within one week!
I fitted them myself, along with new pots and caps.

"I was unimpressed"
I was unimpressed. I have liked what I’ve seen and heard so got some pickups and a loom for my Casino. Firstly they sent the wrong loom and secondly made assumptions about what I needed from the pickup and said I needed an extra £90 special base plate. The pickups were not well balanced didn’t fit my guitar and needed shimming and the loom I specifically asked for was just a standard loom. I asked before ordering whether the loom could be made to fit as the jack socket was in a different location to the standard 335 loom and was told that it wasn’t an issue, but a standard loom arrived. The pickups themselves were no better and maybe even a little less impressive than the Chinese stock pickups. Overall not particularly impressed. I dealt with Matt directly some years ago and was pleased with his knowledge and service, I feel they may be the victims of their own success a little as they have expanded I feel standards may have slipped a touch.
In your response you are attempting to gaslight. Why would I contact you when the issue arose from you not listening in the first place. The very reason I asked you what was needed was because it was casino coupe not a standard. This, was clearly communicated and you literally assumed you knew better than the person who owned the guitar and ignored my questions. You’ve confirmed here that you didn’t engage with what was written in my email by admitting you thought the guitar was standard despite me never saying this and clearly stating the opposite. I made it explicitly clear about the loom too. Just take the criticism and stop trying to push the blame onto the customer.

I bought a pair of pickups and some montipresso and instrument food. Received all in a week all the way to Mexico. Starting from the packaging and wrapping to the use of the products, everything was like a nostalgic experience from when we bought things from stores and the sellers actually cared about the quality of your purchase, so you come back another day.
