I was given a 12 month subscription for Christmas 2022. So far I have received three books and I had to coerce them to send those. But even that has not worked in the past six months. I have sent email after email and left voicemails. Sometimes someone gets back to me and promises to get my subscription up to date and blames it on various internal problems. However, the promises are never kept and books are never shipped. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

"Not sure how to give no stars"
Not sure how to give no stars. I just saw another review where we shared a similar experience. I ordered and paid for the service in March 2023. Order still remains unfulfilled. I sent numerous follow up emails and tried to call to no avail. Julie from Page 1 contacted me a month ago saying she would handle it. Unfortunately that was the last contact.

Do NOT buy from them.
Subscriptions go unfilled; books are not sent; emails and phone calls go unanswered.
If you took the amount of the subscription in paper dollars and set it on fire, you would get just as many books and experience less frustration.

"If I could give them 0 stars I would"
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Like many other people, I had a great experience in 2022. I gave 4 gift subscriptions a Christmas presents. The gift for my mother was 12 months. As of today - seven months into 2023 - she has received two books. I emailed Page 1 (again) a week ago - no response. I'm going to contact my credit card company - and probably the AGs in IL and in PA.

"Was so good and went so bad"
I've been a customer of the subscription service for about a year and a half. The first year was great - thoughtful selections that introduced me to books and authors I hadn't read and that I enjoyed. Really felt like like a curated selection of books. Then 2023 happened. Books started getting delivered late and only after sending emails. Then they just stopped coming at all. After not getting June or July's book and many, many ignored emails and calls, I reached out by email to the owner asking to just get the last three books of my subscription which expires in August. Just received the package today - three books that honestly make no sense to me why they were chosen (one is #2 in a series and I haven't read #1!) and which I'll be donating. Hoping people come look at these reviews before signing up for subscriptions. DON'T DO IT! This was a fantastic service, but the new ownership is majorly dropping the ball. And if they are still taking subscription orders, then that's just downright shady.

"HORRIBLE COMPANY !!!…"
This company basically steals your money and does not send the allotted amount in your subscription. I have emailed and called multiple times with no response. They took my daughters money for a Christmas subscription for 6 months and sent 1 book to date! Do not support them!

"Waste of money, don’t buy!"
Unless you like sending emails every month don’t buy from here. They have either been late or not shipped at all. Still missing two books. Scam company. Books aren’t worth the price either (you only get cheap books) I have emailed them over and over and over again. Please do not ever buy any subscriptions from this company, save your time and money and buy something else.

"I bought my subscription in march"
I bought my subscription in march. Still have not recieved a single book. To top it off. I can’t access the website at all. So frustrating. Contacted the company numerous times no answer. Definitely do not recommend.

"I subscribed for years, no more!"
I subscribed for years, this used to be fantastic. Then after I resubscribed, my April and May books never came and they're no longer answering emails. I've disputed my subscription with my credit card company, because it seems pointless otherwise. My last book (Feb) was cheap and nondescript - frankly it looked used. What a bummer!

"12-month Subscription/No Communication"
On April 24th I made a 12 month subscription purchase. Haven’t heard anything from them. I have emailed, replied to the text, and even reached out on Facebook. No response. I have not received any books or tracking. Filed a dispute with my card company. I had heard such great things about them. I a so disappointed in how it seems 2023 has been for them!
