"Excellent"

Two weeks of hard work, very intensive but excellent course. Good materials/books topped up with excersises and homework which helped to memorise the content. I would recommend Martin as an instructor to those looking to take this course.

"Great course for a great price"

The course was well structured and very well timed. No part seemed rushed and questions were always welcomed. Martin is very good at explaining things in layman's terms as some of the course work can be a bit daunting if you have no prior experience. I wasn't expecting to have homework every night, but I'm glad I did as I feel that having to do the questions set by Martin meant the course work stayed fresh in my head all the way through to the exams. The additional study aids provided and guidance provided were invaluable. The venue itself is adequate and there's plenty parking and lots of places to eat close by at lunchtime.

All in all I would highly recommend this company if you were looking to do your NEBOSH certificate and other associated training.

"Excellent Value & THEY DON'T CANCEL COURSES"

I booked my NEBOSH course with NC Skills following the cancellation of another course with a different provider, due to insufficient numbers. Having spoken to another provider who according to their website had a course starting a couple of days later, I was advised that they had also cancelled the course due to insufficient numbers and that this was quite often the case in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Following a quick search online, I came across NC Skills who advertised in big bold letters 'WE DO NOT CANCEL NEBOSH COURSES EVEN IF WE HAVE LOW NUMBERS'. Due to the nature of my work and family life, taking two weeks out to attend a course took quite a bit of organising, so I was understandably annoyed when my last course was cancelled at fairly short notice without even so much as an apology - this from a well known provider too.......

I have to admit, I was initially sceptical over the low cost of the course as it was literally less than half what I had paid for the other course and thought that this was probably reflective of the quality of the training etc.

However, having taken the plunge and booked with NC Skills, I was not disappointed in any way whatsoever; quite the opposite actually.

Martin is a very competent and knowledgeable trainer with a lot of actual real life experience in health and safety, which, as a group we were able to draw experience from. He's also an unconscious comedian which helped keep the course more lighthearted and less intense than your typical classroom situation.

Don't be under any illusions though, if you want to pass this course you need to put the hours in. Don't expect to learn everything you need to know just by turning up. If you're not willing to put the hours in at nights and weekends, then this course isn't for you.

I would happily recommend NC Skills (and have done already to colleagues and clients) to anyone thinking about sitting the NEBOSH qualification.

A pure brain frier of a course but i expected that.....Martin from NC Skills made it go alot smoother than i thought and made it interesting.
I booked the whole H&S package and i dont regret a single bit of it and look fwd to my next few courses with Martin.
The hours have deffo got to be put in though!!! but NC Skills will put you well on your way!

Great course. Good fun. But hard work.

Many thanks to Martin and his methods for delivering the NEBOSH GC course. Really engaging and easy to learn. Martin managed to eat a few of us a pass after taking the exam straight after a two week course... I would suggest a few extra days of studying for people taking the course in the future. Highly recommended!

I would have no hesitation in recomending NC Skills and Martin to anyone who wished to take this course. If you are prepared to put the extra effort in at home completing the questions set out for you then you will have an excellent chance of passing the exam. We had 3 individuals who took the exam 24 hours after completing the course and gained credit and distinction passes. I would however recommend taking a week or two for home study before sitting the exam to give yourself a better understanding of the course content and increase your knowledge and chance of gaining a good pass grade.
