"You need to read through before you booking!!!"

I booked for 10 Days but returned the van on the 7th day I clearly remember even before I took the can I asked the lady at the office she said if you want to return early juts call the 0800 number. before I returned the van I called the 0800 number and the gentlemen there said you able to return the vehicle before 4:30 and they would refund me after 5 days I returned the van I found out the refund still not showing in my account so I called the call centre again but the lady there said the different thing she said according to T&C they are not refunded for return early and ask me to read through the T&C and question me about reason and I explain very clearly if I know this I won't come back in hurry.

Great vehicle in top condition, the cute girl in Christchurch was really helpful & set me up well for my trip. The bed was a little thin on padding for my big frame but it was roomy & comfortable. The return in Auckland was easy & the staff there were friendly too. Will be recommending lucky to all. Thank you

"We rented a lucky rambler campervan"

We rented a lucky rambler campervan. It was a fantastic experience. We really liked this journey with our small campervan around the north island, the service was fast and they almost told everything how to use (sometimes we had to figure out how to do some stuff). The campervan was old (+400k km in it) of course this saw a lot of things. By the way the most of the problems could be solved by a little more attention (for example: locks, cleanliness, water pipe connection, watery fridge)
Despite we would recommend this company for a fair price

"Cheap option to explore NZ"

It was our second time renting a car from Lucky and we had a great time again. It's a good value for that price. The car was old and we had some issues with the gas cooker, but the Lucky staff was very helpful with that.
We can recommend it, if your looking for a cheap way to to do a van trip around NZ.

The van we new would be quiet cramped for 4 of us but we made it work

The most annoying thing was the lack of storage space and the constant banging of cups and plates in the cupboards

Half the curtains were broken, the tap leaked when the water pump was turned on.

The fuel economy was terrible. . 300 km for $140 and that was just crusing it.


The van up top had condensation that got the blankets soaken during the day

When I booked I paid extra for the toilet which was $50 . Then when I returned it I got told I didn't need to book that as it was free as it's self contained. So why have it as a option then?

When checking in the girl stuffed up my bond and charged it twice. And it took 3 days to get the refund of 1 of them .

The van wasn't very clean at all
