Fantastic from start to finish..... well im still working on it, taking my time and enjoying every minute.
Bolt guitars have been great in every aspect and I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

"Bolt Guitars Thunder Road DIY Kit"

Purchased the Thunder Road DIY Kit, very impressed with the quality of the parts. No upgrades required, everything supplied is top quality including a wonderfully flamed maple neck.

Build process is straightforward thanks to the excellent series of instructional videos. Every step of the assembly and finishing is covered in detail and makes the whole process so simple that anyone can genuinely build a quality instrument over the course of five days.

All that's required are a few tools and a couple of hours a day, the end result is a fantastic guitar and a sense of real achievement.

The parts are specced to perfection and only a minimal set up is required to get the guitar playing perfectly once assembled.

I would highly recommend this kit to anyone, great fun to build and most importantly, you will end up with a great guitar!

They really believe in their guitars and will go the extra mile to make sure the experience of building them is an enjoyable and positive one. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

The guitar kit was received well packaged and everything was present. The quality of the kit is first class and as described.
I followed the great tutorial through to the end and was left with a great looking, feeling and sounding guitar.

Excellent quality kit, with everything you need to build an excellent guitar.

Guitar kits often come with poorly produced woodwork and inferior quality parts that will require some decent woodworking skill to achieve a playable guitar. Not so with the Bolt Thunder Road (T-Style). This kit comes with everything, including sandpaper and a really clever colour system which is easy to apply by hand with a few offcuts from a t-shirt.

What sets this kit apart is the quality of the parts (the flame maple neck is gorgeous) and the online video step by step "course" that you follow Martin from Bolt along as he builds one with you. Add to that the friendly and responsive Facebook group and chatroom that you can turn to for questions, encouragement and support and this really is unique in the world of guitar kits. Their two taglines "Anyone can build a guitar" and "Life's too short for s*** guitars" are really true.

The best part is, the final product is a really playable, great sounding Tele style guitar.
