11/21/23 - Awesome strategy!

Update 11/10/24:
Coming back here to update my review. I originally gave 5 stars and said "Awesome Strategy!" That's because my original review was not actually for Douglas James. Very early in the program, they had a guest speaker that was discussing a marketing strategy that I really liked. At the end of the presentation, Douglas James said something like "If you found value in this today, go leave a review" and he gave a link. It was implied that the review was for the guest speaker so I came here and left this review. It was only later when I received an email from TrustPilot that I realized the review went on the Douglas James account. I never would have left a review for Douglas James so early in the program.

So now, almost 1 year later, I will leave my review. 1 star. Would do less if I could. After spending $10k to get into the Elite program, I tried my best to make it work but I could not get any results. I was the top student in my group and I've done marketing before and I still could not get any results from their methods. When I attempted to get a refund, they just offered more 1 on 1 coaching. I tried with 1 on 1 coaching for about 6 more weeks and still could not get even a hint of results. I tried again to get a refund, but the Douglas James support team stopped responding.

All in, by the time I paid to get in, paid for the required software, and running paid ads to try to get clients, it racked up more than $20k in debt and nothing to show for it.

I'm still trying to get a refund at least for my initial $10k for getting into the program. I'll probably end up having to eat the other $10k which is super disappointing.

1. Price Concealment: Throughout the extensive content consumption, there was a glaring absence of any mention regarding the price or specifics of the systems promised.
2. High-Pressure Sales: The climax involved a push for a $30,000 fee, conveniently reduced to $25,000 if an immediate commitment was made. The urgency was heightened with claims of losing a $5,000 reduction if not acted upon immediately.

Hidden Costs and Financing:

1. Unclear Monthly Fees: Inquiries about costs led to a vague response mentioning a monthly fee ranging from $250 to $500. However, this information was not elaborated upon.
2. Financing Dilemma: The revelation of no in-house financing options was disconcerting. While they offered assistance in obtaining a personal loan, the lack of transparency in other financial matters raised concerns.

Overall Impression:

In hindsight, the entire experience seemed shrouded in a level of secrecy that eroded trust. The high-pressure tactics, combined with the absence of transparent pricing and financing options, make one question the integrity of the program. It’s advised to approach the Douglas James sales funnel with caution and thoroughly evaluate the commitment before making any financial decisions.

The team approach was good realizing we had a lot of the same questions. The jumping in going for first client immediately when you rely on their support before you know all the ropes is a challenge, but maybe of calculated design.
