I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars.
The company have since contacted me and paid a full refund, admitting they made a mistake with the description. The shoes are not waterproof. They said that for some reason my original emails were in their spam folder. To their credit, they rectified the situation almost immediately after I posted my review on here. I am very pleased with the way they responded.
