"Little Eden - Bridlington"

We nay just do that Tim@Staycations :-)

THIS WAS INTENDED FOR A DIFFERENT COMPANY, WHICH I HAVE SINCE SENT THE CORRECT REVIEW TO, SINCERE APOLOGIES TO STAYCATIONS, I DID NOT MEAN TO DISS YOUR COMPANY AT ALL, YOU ARE NOTHING TO DO WITH LIV RETREATS....star rating altered to go in favour of Staycations

My fiance arranged a surprise family get-together for my 60th on December 13th 2024 @ Little Eden, Bridlington via Liv Retreats.
There were 2 lodges No 18 & 20.
All I can say is what a let down. Dirty, broken items, we have photos as proof. We complained whilst onsite numerous times & not once did a manager pop their heads in to say sorry!!!
We have since put in an official complaint, where they did offer us a discount, which we declined, then received a very curt, last & final offer, again which we don't want to accept & let them know that fact!!
These ARE NOT luxury lodges, they need professional cleaners/maintenance team & to actually give a care....I wouldn't advice anyone to stay here!
Apparently this site has been taken over by Hoseasons - maybe they should actually have a walk round & get it sorted!!

"You been warned. Booked for 4 people"

I sent this following our stay, they are not really very worried about their customers as I have yet to receive a reply. Not surprisingly my second mail also failed to get a reply.

Hi

Here is an update on our stay at the above property.

I feel we were miss led by the description of it being Suitable for individuals, couples, professionals or trades people for long or short stays for 4 people.

On arrival there was large amounts of rubbish outside the front door. The heating was off and the thermostat showed 9c which was the outside temperature. The kitchen light didn't work (not the bulb). There was no instructions on how to operate the heating.

When I got the heating working the radiator in the bathroom remained cold ( it needed bleeding ).

There were only towels for two people, 3 forks and 3 dinner plates. There is a bath as we used it to stay warm and then went to bed. There's no hair dryer.

Not until we left (two days) did the temperature reach 18c and it was on 24 hrs and turn to max.

The vent window in the kitchen does not close fully, the bathroom door doesn't close and there no lock on it. The bedroom headboard is broken.

It was not a comfortable stay, we tried to stay out as much as possible as it was warmer. The place was clean and tidy.

Not worth the money paid.

Your comments please.

"Poorly cleaned and mouldy "

The Cornish Nook

It seemed like the property had not been cleaned properly. There was a used coffee pod in the machine and the floors were filthy. We resorted to wiping them down by hand with wipes we brought with us. Although the property was spacious, it’s clearly struggling with a damp and mould problem and the musty smell was overpowering at times. There was also a lot of visible mould in the bathroom. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and we were only provided one pillow each. We ended up putting the decorative pillows underneath to give more support. There was a lovely park with a pretty walk right next to the property which we enjoyed. It was in a good location to get to other places like Tintagel. We would not stay here again.

"No more than adequate"

Positives:

* Availability of someone to talk to on the phone

* Excellent location well served by public transport

* Stable wifi connection

* Comfortable bed

* Within easy reach of the RISC OS event at Arnos Manor

* Responsive, large radiator in living area.

Negatives:

* Emails to the address advertised on the website results in a blank autorepy and email disappearing. Phone call confirmed this but no reassurance Staystaycation's IT system was being looked at.

* Accommodation required considerable heating and ventilation to dispel musty damp smell which lingered on in cupboards.

* Uneven steps up to property from street level, the tread of one step is very narrow and could result in a fall.

* Outside light not working by entrance, steps down were in darkness nearly resulted in a fall.

"The Cornish Peak"

The Cornish Peak. Beautiful cozy stay. Wood burning stove adds character to this Charming grade 2* listed property in Camelford. Fully equipped kitchen. Huge stylish bathroom with toiletries provided. Set beside the Enfield Park and Camel River. Ideally located for Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Issac. 25 minutes from Padstow. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay.

"Very beautiful house "

Communication with owners was very helpful and response were very quick and helpful.

The house was very beautifully decorated and clean.

Most things are provided, bath washing was beautiful placed out in the bathroom, cleaning utensils were provided and sweets left within towels laid out on the beds left a very welcoming and sweet touch.

Slight downfall was no toilet rolls were provided and the beds were slightly damp…

"Lovely place to stay"

Just got back from a weekend staying in Heritage Cottage. A lovely house in a lovely location. Nice and clean and plenty of space to accommodate my family and my two dogs. Will definitely be rebooking.

"Rhondda Tunnel Cottage "

Well what another lovely time spent at the lovely cottage in the Welsh Valleys, we love it. this is the 2nd time we have stayed and in such a short space of time. As we also visited in July 2023. We can't get enough of the lovely property and what it has to offer on the door step. We shall be booking again and again for long stays and mini breaks. Everytime we are due to leave it is a disappointment as we just want to stay even longer. Absolutely Amazing
