"Great Furniture - Terrible Installation"

We purchased a bedroom set built by the Amish. The quality and craftsmanship are great. Delivery was less than week more than we were told when we ordered. That's the good. The bad is that for delivery you have to wait for a phone call on the morning of delivery where they give you a two hour window, effectively tying up your entire day. The installation of the headboard onto the bed frame was a joke. They had two drill bits; one too small for the bolts they brought and one hole bit 3 times too large. The bolts were two to three inches too long so they would have poked holes in the wall. They used my drill bits and still drilled the first two holes in the wrong location and then had to drill another set of holes which were crooked. They offered to break off the bolts if I could lend them the tools which would have ruined the threads. I finally sent them away and went and bought the correct bolts and installed it myself. I still have extra holes in the headboard that can't be repaired.

Couch arrived damaged! Large tear in the couch arm! Still waiting for the replacement. I was promised that couch would be fixed before Christmas. Repair now scheduled for January! Furniture arrived the week before Thanksgiving! Very Expensive damaged piece breaks your heart!

"No pressure purchase"

After shopping a few other furniture stores in the Capitol District I assumed when I went to Old Brick that I would be treated the same way: High pressure salespeople who wouldn't let me alone to look. It was a very pleasant surprise to have the opposite experience. No pressure to buy NOW. Plenty of time and freedom to roam around the store. And a educated polite sales person to help us when we were ready for it. Next time I need to buy furniture, I'll skip the other places and head straight back to Old Brick.

Happy with our experience at Old Brick. The gentleman on the loading dock was even more helpful. He explained how to make sure we were able to put it together properly.

I bought a sectional couch and was scheduled to have it delivered, they showed up and unfortunately it did not fit they took it back at no charge and helped me to find a couch that would fit up my narrow Victorian stairway. They delivered the new couch the same day and brought it up. 10/10 would recommend, told everyone who has ever sat on my couch about the great experience I had with old brick!

The two gentlemen who delivered the new mattress were great! They arrived during the time arranged and were courteous, quick and very efficient. The mattress is of good quality and the price was reasonable. I would definitely shop at Old Brick again.
