"Avoid at all costs"
I never leave reviews like this, but this is worst company and customer service I've ever dealt with. Agents give contradictory information depending on who you talk to, are rude and defensive when they're politely challenged on their policies.
No transparency on their application process. Ive been accepted for two other car rental companies with no issue, however Goget are unwilling to share even the slightest hint of what was wrong with my application.
My agent was condescending during our whole interaction, made me feel like a criminal.
No credit checks or driving history reports, just an "in house process". Reeks of discrimination.
Avoid at all costs.

"Dirty cars"
The service is good and unique but the cars in my area are generally very dirty. Interiors are seldom cleaned. Open the boots and they are filthy. Not a space I want to put my shopping into. Even writing to GoGet and sending photos the cars are still dirty. Such a shame.

"Received a fine after following GoGet's instructions"
I had a terrible experience with GoGet. I rented a vehicle and returned it on time to the designated bay, but found a broken down truck parked there. I called GoGet support, and they told me to park the vehicle in any green signed parking bay, even if it was a paid parking spot. They assured me that I wouldn't be fined, as they would lodge a report with the council giving the truck's details. I triple confirmed that it was a paid parking spot and that I wouldn't be buying a ticket, and they repeatedly assured me there would be no issue.
However, a few months later, I received a fine in the mail for parking in a ticketed spot without purchasing a ticket. This means someone from GoGet intentionally nominated me as the driver! They even had the gall to charge me an admin fee on top of the fine, which I haven't been refunded for!
When I reached out to GoGet to sort out the issue, they kept giving me the runaround, promising to call me back but never did. It has now been weeks since I received the fine and I've called back multiple times and I kept getting the same response that it was under review by their infringement team.
It was not only a huge hassle but also stressful as I spent a heap of time following up with them. To make matters worse, I still don't even know if the fine will be waived or not. I had no choice but to request a review from the council before the fine became overdue, which was a massive inconvenience and I won't know the outcome for months. I cannot recommend GoGet to anyone based on my experience.

"Rented a van to do a few jobs"
Rented a van to do a few jobs, including in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast. The thing that made it attractive was that with a 'traditional' rental company, they often close at 4/5pm on weekdays. Meaning I have to pay from that time overnight if I need to do a job at 8am (before the rental company opens). I was able to book, pick up my van at 6.30am and drop off at 8.30pm back to the same spot. Everything went smoothly and the van itself was great. Will definitely do this again in the future and am looking forward to trying out some other vehicles.

"Realised our Ikea items were too large…"
Realised our Ikea items were too large for our car. The GoGet options from the Ikea carpark were unbelievably convenient and saved our bacon

"The car was easy to find"
The car was easy to find. It was exactly where I was told it would be. The interior was clean, but the outside and the windows could have done with a clean. As my first experience with GoGet, the first impression was very positive. The booking was easy, the booking confirmation was very informative. I will definitely be using GoGet again. Just one small criticism, GoGet can track your vehicle to see if you are over the time that you have booked, I returned my vehicle one hour earlier to where I picked it up, but I still had to pay that hour. Perhaps this is something GoGet could address.

"Subpar cars in high traffic booking areas"
I have been using GoGet cars for many years now and have never been disappointed with the cars as they always drove well, clean and well maintained.
However, if you are using a car where there is high traffic of bookings with the cars, like the city, then be prepared to put up with poorly maintained and serviced cars.
In the last 1.5 months, I have made a few bookings with several different cars in the city. Unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
1. Cars were all filthy -- rubbish left by other drivers, dirt/dust on car seats and filthy car mats.
2. Cars stinked of stale cigarette smoke and turning on the air-conditioning, I can smell the cigarette smoke. As someone who doesn't smoke, it was nauseating.
3. A couple car interiors and exteriors looked beaten up -- parts broken, volume keys on steering wheel.not working, usb port not working. Also cars looked and smelt like they haven't been cleaned for a long time.

"AVOID GO GET"
Well , I have just had one of the worst experiences possible with these people. Hire a Van to shift a piece of furniture for a couple of hours , arrive to pick up the van which is not where it is meant to be , apparently takes them 20 minutes to locate it [ perhaps their GPS hit a road block but one would have thought it is THEIR business to know where their fleet is ? ]. Told it is a few hundred metres away but really it is over a kilometre away . Waste another 20-30 minutes arguing with Go Get people as they want us to leave our car there , return the van where it is supposed to be and walk over 1 km back to our car up a big hill and in a 30 + degree hot humid day with my helper who is elderly and has a heart condition . Meanwhile we are running very late for our appointment and they are getting very annoyed at us . Finally Go Get people relent and allow us to return the Van to either location ,so we drop it off where we picked it up from. Well today I get an abusive phone call from them and they decide to suspend me for not returning the Van to the place it was NOT picked up from. Well ,all I can say is suspend me all you like because I NEVER want to deal with you again anyway. My ADVISE is DO NOT USE THEM .

"DO NOT USE GOGET!"
It should be no surprise that Goget again replies with an identical response. Goget do not care to provide a good service; if anything goes wrong with your booking they will demand that you waste your time trying to explain it to their overseas call centre, who simply don't understand what they are doing. I invested over four hours of my time to try to get Goget to fix their issues! I made numerous requests to speak to someone in Australia, and was always denied. I still haven't yet been allowed to raise my concerns properly. Instead, Goget have refused to listen at all. Let's be honest, Goget are more interested in profit than they are with helping their customers. I had been a customer of Goget for over 5 years!! And I get no voice before they take actions against me!! Why should us customers have to bear all the burden of their service failing, and then again when their staff simply don't or won't help! Their call centre reads from cue cards and just don't understand our culture at all or how to properly help! Goget simply ask too much of their customers now! But hey, as long as Goget is making a profit, there's no problems right?! USE ANOTHER SERVICE WHERE POSSIBLE.

"Christmas Nightmare"
Christmas Eve. I book a car so that I can pick up all the things I need for Christmas Day. I arrive at the spot and the car isn't there. (I have also booked the car for Christmas Day). I ring customer service and they tell me it hasn't been returned and they cannot get hold of the person.... is there not a procedure in place to prevent this? Like a notification to say "hey your car hasn't been returned would you like to book another". Instead I had to walk another few KMs to another car that was luckily available but stunk of cigarette.
Christmas Day. I book a different car as the other one I booked was MIA. I get to the car to find it ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The dashboard, the floor, the seats full of dirt. I had to quickly drive it home and give it a thorough clean and then disinfect myself which left me running late for Christmas with my family. There was also no fuel card in the car so I had to pay for my own fuel.
I don't recommend GoGet. I switched to them from Flexicar because they have more cars on offer however the condition of their cars are poor. Customer service should really have given me a refund for the poor experience on Christmas Day but the refused to. And for that reason I'll be heading back to Flexicar where their service as far more superior.
