Burfield are okay, though many of their advisors refuse to speak in plain English. They talk mostly in jargon, despite repeated requests not to. This is frustrating and somewhat irritating. Eventually, if you keep on at them, they do speak in layman's terms.

Dealt with other financial advisors before Burfield and I wasn't impressed with them. Burfield are good communicators and attentive. I felt at ease and safe through the whole process of transferring my pension. I would recommend this company.

Burfield provided an excellent detailed analysis of my private and state pensions and reviewed the different options available to me. This included a previously unknown option to access one of the schemes early on my 60th birthday without penalty. They have subsequently facilitated the transfer of one low performing fund to a cash account which has allowed drawdown of cash over the last two years, all of which has been done to a plan to minimise exposure to higher tax rates.
I am happy to recommend their services to anyone wanting to sort out their pensions.

Having been unaware of the state of an old pension scheme or even where to find who held it I worried it was lost. However, Burfield not only found it, but advised me without any pressure or expectations. Communication was excellent throughout and continues to be informative and helpful. I opted for their services fully aware of the costs, but also aware of the additional help and adjustments that have been made to my pension. I am very happy.
