I had 8 pieces of wood I needed just 2.5mm trimming off the end due to an error in measurement and just got a “can’t do that” you’ll have to buy everything again and we’ll cut it to the correct measurements. Terrible customer service from the rude man behind the counter. Won’t be using Ron Curries again! They’ve just lost another customer!

What an amazing company, I spent ages looking for stair cladding and finally found their website, they had everything I needed to cover my stairs at a very reasonable price. I called them to make sure I’m buying the right thing and they even helped me calculate how much material I needed for the risers. Delivery was incredible, ordered on Monday and received the whole set of stairs in Wednesday! Thank you so much for providing such a good, professional service, this is a breath of fresh air and greatly appreciated! I will be ordering more soon.

I just received a delivery of pine furniture boards and I am impressed with the packaging and condition of the timber. Not a mark on it and delivered next working day over the weekend 150 miles.

I placed an order yesterday, using the website to procure some MDF cladding panels, skirting board and capping. The price was extremely competitive, even with the delivery charge added. The goods arrived today, extremely well packaged and in perfect condition.

The level of service from the company and its delivery agents can't be faulted and I will certainly be adding them to my list of suppliers.

Dear Mr Ronald Frederick Norman Currie,

Today we experienced the lowest customer service levels we have ever encountered.

Drawings were emailed and a quotation was then provided via email by Dale at Ron Currie & Sons Ltd. We then placed what we thought would be a simple 2 second phone call to pay and provide our delivery address - how wrong were we...

Upon calling to make payment, Dale was exceptionally rude, lacked the most basic of customer service skills and denied all knowledge of any conversations or quotations provided by him - despite us having an email quotation from Dale in front of us. We asked to speak with a manager or director and Dale informed us that no one was around and that we would have to email.

We called in 2-3 minutes and spoke to Mr Currie (we recall perhaps James Currie, who is a company director of Ron Currie & Sons Ltd on companies house) to raise a compliant around Dale's poor service levels. Mr Currie dealt with our compliant completely unprofessionally, was exceptionally rude, continually spoke over us and did not listen to us. Surely basic complaint handling should start with an apology and then progress onto resolving the matter whilst bending over backwards to do so? During the call Mr Currie did say that we needed to reply to an email to sign off the works, despite someone else in our firm already sending drawings and Dale sending us a quotation. I asked if he could email me the required paperwork to sign off (which you would assume to be a normal customer service request whilst placing an order) - Mr Currie refused to do so and then made an ageist comment that the other person who emailed the drawings "must be incompetent with computers". Such behaviour is completely unacceptable. Mr Currie went on to comment that I must "...not be doing very well...and...are having a bad day...". Again, we were shocked. Clearly Mr Currie had no intentions of resolving our simple compliant and quite frankly we were not prepared to be spoken in such an awful manner for any longer.

We ask Mr Ronald Frederick Norman Currie, the owner of Ron Currie & Sons Ltd. why this occurred?

ORDERED STAIRS DIRECT FROM THEM AND GOT A KIT TO CUT AND MAKE MYSELF £130 WASTED TOLD I SHOULD READ THE DETAILS ON EBAY. I DID NOT BUY THROUGH EBAY COULD HAVE GOT SAME FOR £ 60 SO BUYERS BEWARE
