"Active camp at Bilton Grange"
Active camp at Bilton Grange. The staff are amazing. My daughter loves it! Thank you. It’s great to know she’s gave fun in the holidays, that’s stimulating and fun. She’s made loads of friends over the years!

"A fantastic experience!"
My two daughters (aged 6 and 9) attended a camp in Oxford for the first time this summer. They were nervous to go but were greeted at the gates by very friendly staff. The drop off was very smooth and incredibly well organised. I was very impressed! You are given an individual code for your children which you must use at pick up. Both my girls had a brilliant day and loved the variety of activities available. There was a good mixture of sporting activities and craft, suitable for various abilities and ages. Both my girls enjoyed their break times and lunch times which again were very well organised. They got to go swimming too which they loved! Both girls came out smiling and wanted to go again the next day. They made new friends and said the staff were super friendly and fun! I would highly recommend Oxford Active and we will be booking again for the next school holiday. Thank you!

"Unacceptable changing room arrangements"
Our daughter was very excited about the advertised activities at summer camp in Cambridge, especially the swimming.
We asked the manager about the dressing arrangements and were assured that the boys and girls would have separate rooms. Needless to say, we were very upset as our daughter, in tears, told us that they made the boys and girls dress together.
When we finally got through to someone, they apologised that there was some miscommunication between the manager and the staff, leading to the confused changing room conditions.
This never should have happened in the first place. We will not be returning or recommending to anyone else.

"Very disappointed - limited activities and art/crafts"
My 3.5 daughter and her two cousins (also 3.5 years old) went to the Oxford Active school holiday camp at Rye St Antony School. I was very disappointed to find that there was a lack of activities and little evidence of art/crafts. When we arrived, we were shown to the school hall where the holiday camp is based. The hall was completely empty apart from a small collection of toys in the corner. There were no activities set up to make the space more welcoming and help the children to settle in. It looked really bleak. The toys were just a jumble of assorted items that looked like they were from a junk shop. It felt like no thought or effort had been put into making a space that is appealing and welcoming for children. I wanted to give the staff the benefit of the doubt and hoped that it was empty because it was the beginning of the day. However, when we arrived at 5pm to pick the children up, the hall was exactly the same - the same toys in the same place. There was no evidence of any craft activities, no tables and chairs to do drawing/painting/craft on and the children came out empty handed - no pictures or paintings to take home. When we arrived at pick up we could see inside the hall and the children were just knocking about aimlessly and seemed pretty bored. On the Oxford Active website it says "Each day will feature a range of sports, arts and crafts, team challenges, and wide span games such as capture the flag, obstacle courses, group collages and much more!" and the promotional video shows a vibrant backdrop of tables set out with games and art/craft activities. This is misleading as it seems that there are limited arts and crafts offered and what they do is done on the floor - not really conducive for doing anything properly. The Oxford Active holiday camps are not cheap at £48 per day and I would expect much more effort to be put into making the experience for the children varied and interesting. After-all, some children are spending their whole summer on these camps and there is a responsibility to make their time enjoyable and enriching.

"10/10!"
My 4 year old son attended for the first time Oct half term @ Rugby and had an amazing time! He can't wait to go back again and even got Star of the Day! Which meant the world to him.
Everyone made him feel welcome and we would 100% recommend to other parents!!

"My 11 and 13 year old didn’t enjoy it…"
My 11 and 13 year old didn’t enjoy it as much this year - the activities seemed to be designed for younger children, and there also seemed to be a lot of repetition and too much free time at the end Of the day.
Also, the toilet facilities were not suitable for girls who have periods. I’m afraid we won’t be coming back

"Absolutely brilliant"
Absolutely brilliant! My children (age 10 and 7) had the best time they’ve ever had at a holiday camp. They begged to go back every day and usually my son doesn’t even like camps! I very much hope you come back to Beechwood Park.

"Kingham Hill Active Adventure"
My children (6&11) had a brilliant 2 days at the Kingham Hill camp. The activities were fun & engaging & the leaders kind & encouraging. They are very keen to go again when the school holidays come around.

"Good fun, but admin frustrating"
My son enjoyed his week at a recent Active Camp. However I had some issues with locating details about it as confirmation emails sent had the wrong type of camp detailed so the one we had booked wasn't on the list provided. The website is also confusing. Once that was resolved though the camp was good fun!
