We’ve been using World Nomads for years. It’s always so easy to get the correct insurance for our international travel. And the price is right. When I had a trip planned to Thailand right at the Covid lock down of 2020, I had purchased insurance with WN, when I found I had to cancel, it was almost fully refunded, without an issue. It made things so much easier on my heart that although I was sad not to go, I was so relieved I didn’t lose all my travel funds. Thank you World Nomads!!

"Extremely disappointing "

I bought my insurance with them for years but no longer after my stepson had a terrible experience with them. Was scheduled to fly to Bali Sept 1. Jetstar cancelled and put him on a flight Sept 3. He (and all the other passagers) turned up to the airport, dropped off luggage, through passport control and they all waited at the gate for two hours to be told the flight was cancelled. The next available flight for him was Sept 10. He was due back at work Sept 11. Nomad did not compensate one cent, not even the purchase of the travel insurance that was never used let alone the Ubers back and forth to the airport, the accommodation, the loss of the trip, it was disgraceful. I now run an international writer’s retreat and I actively tell people to avoid Nomad at all costs.

The web site was easy to figure out and get signed up with a travel insurance policy that I wanted. I researched many insurance policies with other companies and found World Nomands to be competive in price and coverage. The reviews are mixed on all the insurance companies when it comes to getting an insurance claim paid. If I need to make a claim, I hope World Nomands will follow through with their coverage.
