"I've had the unfortunate bad luck of…"

I've had the unfortunate bad luck of having to be in contact with this terrible company on multiple occasions. Each time I have to make a claim, I wait on the phone for many minutes at a time (always more than 10). If anyone ever answers, it always sounds like its the same person (which to me is weird, since it seems like a pretty large company).
Regardless of that, the company's policies are very misleading on what they will actually cover. When I called about an electrical problem, they refused to cover it because they claimed that the installation was done incorrectly from before I owned the house, even though the problem had only just started to occur after living in the house for several months.
I'm hoping that they will be able to send someone out for a furnace problem that we are having currently, but I have still not been able to speak with anyone about it or make a claim, even though I've called multiple times, left voice messages, and even submitted an online request for a new claim.
DO NOT GO WITH PRIDE HOME WARRANTY!

I called Pride home warranty on a Sunday when my heat went out. They came out literally within a few hours and my heat was fixed that day. I appreciate the great response time. Thank you

"So Sorry I Switched"

After four years, I switched from American Home Shield because they raised the premium and I was tired of the extended wait times on the phone. I am very sorry I changed. Read carefully through the Pride contract and you will see numerous conditions required before they agree to pay a claim. In my case I was running out of hot water. The plumber diagnosed the problem as the gas valve attached to the water heater. Prime said it could could not pay this claim because in the section, "Limitations on Liability," the contract happens to state that "valves" are listed among the items not covered by Pride. "Gas valve" is not listed under "Exclusions" by the section on the water heater, but hidden at another place on the contract. Neither would the tank itself be covered because that item is not listed under "Inclusions." (I contacted American Home Shield and the adjuster confirmed that the same problem would have been covered on my old warranty.) Before going with Pride read carefully through the "Exclusions" section and you will be convinced to go with another business.

"Buyer beware!!"

Buyer beware!!! My wife and I bought a policy with this company when we purchased our forever house here in Florida. We also purchased additional coverage to cover the pool equipment. We had several discussions with the salesman about we were just looking for some piece of mind our first year in the house. Recently our pool pump started leaking and the company that services the pool recommended that we replace the pump. We contacted Pride Home as we assumed we would need to use one of their approved companies. To our surprise they said we could use our guy who has been servicing this pool for 10 year. We faxed in documentation from him and even had him speak with Pride Home. On two different occasions I called to ask if our claim was approved yet and both times they informed me that the claim had not been processed yet but I was 100% covered and I should go ahead and get the pump replaced to protect the pool and just get reimbursed. Now that I have done that and provided them proof of payment I am being told that the pump we replaced had exceeded its expected life and we were not going to be paid. I am currently waiting on a call from a claims supervisor. I had multiple conversations with them prior to getting the pump replaced. At no point did anyone say anything about live expectancy. At no point when they happily took my money for the policy did anyone discuss that something may not be covered if it has exceeded its life expectancy. I now look around my new home and wonder what else is not really covered due to this little clause. I will be posting this type of review on every social media I can find about this company so that other may be fairly informed about how they run their business.
